Celebrating family being together. 2001 Silver Oak Napa Cab magnum to accompany filet for dinner.
Saved this one to honor Son's graduation from college and Daughter graduating from HS. Had to postpone the dinner this spring as Son had to leave early to start work. We flew him home for Christmas.

Presently, Bogle Old Vine Zin. I'm normally not a big Zin fan but the Bogle Old Vine Zin is probably one of the better $11-$12 bottles available, IMHO.

The bargain Merlot from Wal-Mart. Let's see what a whole bottle tonight makes my head feel like in the morning.

I have just added Bogle Essential Red to the rotation. It is an Old Vine blend made from Zin, Syrah,Cab Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. It can be had for around $10 a bottle and I would recommend you grape lovers give it a try.

Never banned. Always welcome. Glad you have better taste in cigars than wines. It is a cigar blog after all.

Fonseca Bin 27 ruby port. Gifted by my FIL. Pretty good but I much prefer a tawny.

Vincent Delaporte Sancerre 2014. Fruity mineral flavor that paired well with the cedar plank grouper from the egg.

Pillitteri Estates 2013 Icewine-cab franc. Niagra-on-the-Lake, Ontario

simply delicious.

I was saving this for an even colder night, outside by a fire pit...but the dam thing was calling me from the fridge. I know it's hard to believe but it's true.

A NEW wine for seniors
Clare Valley vintners in south Australia, which primarily produce Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio wines,
have developed a new hybrid grape that acts as an anti-diuretic . It is expected to reduce the number of trips older people have to make to the bathroom at night. The new wine will be marketed as
"Pino More"
