I had gator once at this 4 star steak place in Orlando maybe 10 years ago and it was amazing. I wish I knew of a place here in Philly that served it. It was so tender and tasty and extremely lean. Normally I don't like any meat that has almost zero fat because that's where the flavor is but I gotta say I would eat gator every week if I could get it.

I really wish I could remember. It was a really nice place on the strip where all the theme restaurants are like King Henry's Feast etc. But it wasn't a franchise place. It advertised itself as a Steak house and it was amazing. The owner served us and he recommended that I try the gator as an appetizer. It was like butter. Not even a tiny bit chewy like I was expecting. But since it wasn't like a franchise place I can't remember what it was called. Also we're talking at least 10 years ago. Maybe I just got really lucky and had a chef who's used to cooking gator.
