Maybe we should hire the Mexican government as a consultant.

Oh yea,

"THE GUATS'" are no dummies...

They don't even attempt the fence...

They swim in from boats or get dropped off on the beaches at night....

Mexico can't afford nightvision goggles because they blew their WAD on the FENCE.

Could be pic from part of it, though?

I wonder if they got Guatemala to pay for it......

You mean like speaking Spanish, waving Mexican flags, and supporting all the Mexican national teams? Because if so... we already are becoming more like Mexico. As more and more illegal immigrants cross our border, we become more like Mexico.

Photo inaccuracy aside, we have a right to protect our borders, and we should.

So they swapped in a different pic...

Read the bottom of the article. There is no wall down at that border. This same story has circulated with a variety of false pics.

MACS, I was mainly responding to gene...

But if you think we need a wall that's fine. That idea is in no way supported by the thread itself and stands completely separate.

The thread is "Mexico has a wall, therefore we should have a wall"...

Mexico doesn't have a wall... The secondary clause is neither supported nor disproven.

If you lived in California or any other border state, you would know the 'fear', as you call it, is actually reality. It's real. 48% of Los Angeles county is Hispanic. The Hispanics in CA have a plurality. CA has the most electoral votes, at 55. If you think that has no effect on how the politicians in CA pander to the voters, or how the state votes... you're naive.

And that has an effect on the entire country.

Victor, I'm not sure what we need... wall, landmines, moat, archers... all I know is that we, as a country, have a right to our sovereignty, and a right to pick and choose who we let in, just like every other country.

I don't care how we fix the problem, I just want it fixed.

I didn't say anything to the contrary. I just found the solution of being more like Mexico funny. Meh.

I'd say if any area gets a majority of any minority we should suspend democracy.... after all that's what Putin would do and he's dreamy.

I do want to point out the irony of the same groups who have been complaining that being a minority in this country is way better than being a white male are also the same groups suddenly afraid of no longer being the majority.
