My budget won't allow for that many cigars for a long time, as much as I want it to. I think this is the first time my little 20 count has been full! Maybe I'll end up with one of the DIY humidors, the cooler or tupper or whatever. We'll see if anyone decides to trade!

I haven't done a humi rade in a while. I'm sure there's some stuff in the bottom of my cooler(that I bought for 17 bucks at walmart and fits nicely in my closet) that a noob would love. . .

Soooo, getting some tupperware, then... Any particular brands to look for or avoid? I know some of the plastic can be quite fragrant. Still looking for a trade, though, if the train hasn't fully left on that yet.

There is a plastic smell, but you need to prep it. Wash it thoroughly. Stuff it with newspaper. The carbon helps to absorb the plastic smell.

Maybe I'll look at the pyrex containers with the snap on lids. Use them for making jerky and they hold really well, without as much risk of tainting.

Places like Target, Home Depot, Costco, etc... have all shapes and sizes of containers that are well suited for making humidors. I wouldn't sweat it too much on how air tight it is. Actually, a little leakage is preferred. As far as putting Spanish cedar in it is your call. Makes it smell nice. I generally just put the boxes in the coolerdor with a bunch of beads. Buy twice the amount of beads that they say. There are some good wooden starter humidors on this site. If you need some empty boxes let me know and I can set you up. YMMV 🌫
