“I understand the grief and the incredible sense of loss that can motivate that,” Clinton said. “As other members of families who’ve lost loved ones have said, that's not what they heard. I don't hold any ill feeling for someone who, in that moment, may not fully recall everything that was or wasn't said.”

When did she do this?

So This post actually made me go and look up what the "lying to families" thing is.

I'm not sure I'd call it worse.

I'm not sure we can establish that she knew the truth at that time.

And there are conflicting reports from the families as to what she even said.

Everyone hears what they want to hear.....

I'm going backwards on my responses here, but your post proves my point.

Trump lies and it's front page.
Hillary lies and you get opposing forces trying to define how much she lied.

Maybe it was simply too much when she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire...wait. Oh, nevermind.

Victor,
You and I don't always see eye to eye on the issues.
But you're not usually this for off base.

It's not JUST the gold-star family lies here.

It's everything.

You want lies on tape?
Watch the multitude of youtube videos showing Hillary lying about the emails, with the FBI director saying the complete opposite time and time again.

tailgater wrote:

We're not asking about the email thing here. I don't disagree with that one, she was incorrect when saying he said she didn't do anything wrong.

But in this thread we're asked to compare her interaction with the benghazi families with trump's interaction with the khan's. I think it's clear why there is more media attention on one.

She had the State Department fabricate the whole You Tube video lie to hide the fact that they were NOT going to send in any military to help them. Despite the fact it was a CIA annex house where they sold weapons out the back door...and had guys on the ground with ruby red lighting up the place so a pinpoint air attack via drone or smart bomb would hit the direct target. Those planes...were turned away.

http://www.businessinsider.com/the-secret-cia-mission-in-benghazi-2013-8

"Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans," Clinton said. "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/01/bombshell-us-rescue-team-on-way-to-benghazi-turned-back-video/

Yeah...reconcile that any way you have to but...she just marginalized the lives of Americans. Americans that had families, loved ones and friends.

I tend to agree with her here.

The important part of the story is "american dead". the important part isn't "because of riot due to video" or "because of planned attack". Either way americans are dead. If you think the important part is trying to parse whether a politician correctly identified the cause within the first 72 hours (there is plenty of time for analysis later)... then I'd say you've got your priorities wrong. But that's just me.

Again. You are presupposing that she lied, without any clear information. While I understand you don't like her, you can't possibly think that you are looking at this in an unbiased manner when the words you use are assuming she was wrong before you even think about the problem.

The important part of the story is NOT "american dead". It's that the CIA were selling guns and holding hostages at an annex building. They attacked the place for over 8 hours. They smoked out a US ambassador of his safe room and killed him.

Then again, you tend to believe her lies.

I really thought you were smarter than that. Thanks for clearing that up. Your priorities are wrapped up in defending lies. Good luck with that, but then again...you're used to it. You're a useful idiot to a power elite that wipe their feet on your back.

It's obvious the media is in the suit-pant pocket of the Hill Dog.
We get it.

But this whole issue with Trump and the Gold Star families?
The media is chasing down members of the GOP to get comments, and of course none of them are positive.

But where was this push from the media when Hillary did the same thing to the gold star mom of a soldier who died in Benghazi?

Compare the two:
A. Trump is an idiot who said stupid things.
B. Hillary is a greasy dirtbag who said stupid things.

But Hillary's comments are WORSE than Trumps. Trump didn't LIE to the parents. Trump wasn't involved in their son's death. Trump isn't calling the parents liars.

Both are despicable. I get that.
But bring it to a personal level:
If my kid died in service and somebody said the things Trump said, I'd be furious.
But if somebody else was a reason he died? And then lied to me? And then called me a liar when I call them out?

Perspective.

Neither side has any. But the left wear their ignorance like a badge of honor.

Well, it seems that Democrats, even Sanders supporters, are firmly behind Clinton. Trump has the most splintered of parties - even his own peeps won't endorse him.

Clinton's foreign policies are (today) a continuation of Obama's - that are well received and respected. Trump, while he really has no cogent policy - has gained disrespect from many nations, that he truly earned.

So no - not the same - not even close - diametrically opposed in fact.

I predict we will flee the entire Middle East with our tails between our legs akin to what happened in Saigon in the final days of the Vietnam Conflict, but that's just me.

As far as Trump goes...seriously? Who cares. I don't. You're no expert on the guy. You're just buying the steak for the sizzle. Now, Clinton? EVERYONE KNOWS what kind of a lying, scumbag, elitist carpetbagging quid pro quo machine she is.

I will seriously miss the Kenyan King...next to these two it's only way to make him appear Presidential. Jimmy Carter will live to laugh now.
