ummmm, no...most of the peoples (by about 3 million more than for Trump) voted for Hillary...the defeat was due to the Electoral College process, an archaic 18th century vote counting procedure to minimize the dilemma of slaves voting and influencing elections that later evolved to support a two party system...

Gerrymandering happens every decade...the party in power at the time draw district lines to enhance their chances to win...GOP was in power in 2010, and they did a "great" job...
