Such an odd thread.
Bandy blows a load trying to dig up more dirt on President Trump.
Instead, even those BOTL's who dislike our President are siding with the President.

And to add insult to injury, I might actually take issue with a draft dodger.
Not as President, but as Commander in Chief.

We can say it was different times back then.
But in 40 years today will be "different times".

Makes for interesting discussion points.

Which was NOT Banderl's intent. Not even close.

Odd, I find that I agree with tail on one point: dodging service with a medical excuse when called may be OK for a citizen, but does it matter if the citizen becomes commander in chief? Like tail, I think it does, since the military may use that as a measure of the man who is their commander.

So tail agrees that banderl has pointed out another petard from which to hoist Trump...

but doesn't Trump also lose face by belittling a war hero (Tammy Duckworth) who lost both legs fighting to defend his right to use bone spurs as an excuse for not serving?

My point is still valid (albeit incorrectly stated). Draft dodgers, both... but Trump is worse, because he's Trump.

Bandy HATES Trump, so he grabs any little negative and worries it like a pitbull with a knotted rope.

Many here hated when people did that about Obama. Kind of ironical.
