I could agree with your last part bgz... That would be amusing and punish both of them.

She went around claiming she was Cherokee to anyone who would listen for the purpose of personal gain.

The report gave a range of between 1/32 and 1/1024(? May have that off by a small amount). I'm sure whatever media drafter consumed emphasized the smaller portion.

As far as cultural appropriation... Feel free to complain about her cultural appropriation. I'm sure there are some libs somewhere who will agree and March with you....

But she fulfilled the welcher in chief's request, and did show she was a small part native American. Of course he denies ever saying he would donate the million....(it's like he doesn't understand how video works)....

Maybe the toenail on her left pinky toe is an Indian.

That being said he should pay if for no other reason than as Rx for his having constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth and/or Twitter finger.

pretty sure she listed it on her Harvard entrance application. Very well may have walked in without it anyway, (turns out it was based on fact)...love her or hate her, she is an accomplished scholar.

I'd rather she not run for POTUS but do like a lot (not all!) of stuff she's done as a senator from MA.
She may be the only one making noise about the return of the Wall St/Banking thieves to power.

I'm not Cherokee frank, you would have to ask them. She did enough to piss them off and make them hate her, so I have to assume she was a habitual story teller (I've heard the high cheekbone evidence once or twice, or a few hundred, I forget).

Also, read your post where she listed it on Harvard entrance application... with that, you answered your own question, regardless of if it helped her or not... she still did it.

Is saying the Cherokee hate Warren sort of the same as Huck saying all black people hate trump?

Kinda lumping the whole group together as a single entity and not giving them any individual agency....

Probably some Cherokee who don't give a rats azz about her... Probably some who hate her... Probably some who vote for her. I would assume that they would like or dislike her for their own reasons regardless of what we say...

Not the same as Huck and the blacks... it would be more like if Huck was a black person from the Bronx speaking for black people in Compton... it would be more like that...

But Huck's not black, so it's not the same.

Personally, I've only met people who claimed their great great... great such and such was a Cherokee, I don't recall ever meeting an actual Cherokee, so you may be right. Some might love her... but I doubt it.

One thing I know for certain, it gets annoying after a while when white people claim to be Cherokee to non-Cherokee Natives (ie... I get annoyed... and every other Native I know gets annoyed), I can only imagine what it's like for an actual Cherokee.

You know it's coming too... they ask you what heritage you are, when you tell them... their eyes get all big, they puff up their shoulders, and raise their chin... then it comes out...

My great, great, ..., great ...

If you're trying to sell them something, you can interject...

let me guess, Cherokee.

How did you know?

I think it's the high cheek bones.

The phenomenon is real, why? I have no f***ing clue... and all Natives have to deal with it from time to time.
