Every single one wants zero restrictions on abortion, supports a $15 minimum wage, welcomes illegal immigrants with open arms, would hike taxes on American businesses and on successful individuals and hates – just hates – everything about the Trump administration.

I feel like with the majority of these candidates there is a big difference in what they say, and what they would actually do if they became president...very similar to Trump in that regard.

Watched some, but not all....
Castro was masterful at interrupting to talk about immigration, but his singular focus on a decriminalization point was a weak battle issue, I thought
Warren was also masterful, I thought...in that it is very rare for someone to stake out far-left positions and not make me want to throw something at the tv....I think she's going to have much broader appeal to dems than I ever gave her credit for
DeBlasio, Inslee, Spartacus, and Delaney were dead heat as the ones who most often made me want to throw something at the tv
Klobuchar disappointed -- I had high hopes that she'd make a serious challenge to Biden for the middle ground
Gabbard could quit now and two weeks from now, nobody will remember that she ran at all
Beto was barely a shadow of the force that he appears to be when surrounded by his fans....he looked overmatched throughout
Was Tim Ryan even there?

I was frustrated in that the moderators frequently asked "What will you do....?" ....and so rarely got anything resembling an answer....anyone can go up on stage and spout off a bunch of crap that they think is f'd up....I heard very few thoughts about what oughta be done

I doubt if the A list is going to be any more entertaining tonight this early in the game.

I agree that it was platitude heavy. I didn’t think anyone really did enough to separate themselves from the pack and that favors Warren...the rest of last night's field should just pack it up. According to NBC, Warren mentioned Trump zero times. Wow.

Phil, #7 couldn’t agree more. I think for many of these candidates is branding, making a name for VP nomination, and for the DNC to pivot and triangulate the final product.

No one was impressive, though that certainly was no surprise. I did find 10 Democrats I would prefer not to vote for.

I'm willing to bet a 5er that not a single one of the 20 will mention our $20 trillion+ debt but each has a plan to spend plenty more.

It wouldn't suprise me if one of them brought up how Trump has added trillions to the debt or how he continues to spend at a rate that will surpass Obama. Well, they might not mention the Obama part. <<< Not sure if any of that is true. I read it at the Cato Institute.

haha...they got "engaged"...

this "debate" with 10 people clamoring to say something memorable is a terrible way for us to evaluate serious candidates...interruptions and failure to answer the question but talk about previous points rule the day and provide very little insight other than how they would act at a feeding frenzy...

I'll pass until we see the top 4-5 emerge, however we get there...

I’ll let the field narrow before I bother paying attention. Which seems to be Al’s take, as well. Of course, being in Alabama, my vote counts essentially nil.
