Pete remembers the stores that helped him get his start. My local was the first in the southwest to carry any of his smokes and he has made more than one special release just for that store.

And, he’s really good at the events I’ve gone to. Very approachable and personable. Has signed more than a few boxes for me, poured me a glass of his wine and even got Janny to pose with him for something I later sent to Mikey1597. I’m not in SnS but would love to, one day, pull out my challenge coin (...do they still even have that?...) and him not have his on hand.

Get a large storage device (humidor, tupperdor, etc), buy more cigars than you smoke (if you have an everyday smoke you like, buy a box...then keep an eye out for special or limited cigars, buy a few or a box), and then stash them away. In a few years you will then have some great “trade bait”. Use some of that trade bait along with connections on here and you should be able to start getting some unicorns to smoke.

I know I sure have acquired the ones I have by locating them in a store. Occasionally guys on here will be ready to get rid of some great cigars and through the use of wallet candelas or other trade bait, I have been able to get some great, aged cigars.

Time is your friend. Good trade cred is a must.
