I hope everyone follows suit... Maybe a new American basketball league will form...

Players won't make squat at first, so they'll have to really love the game to compete...

And obviously the players are gonna need at least a part time job, so maybe just one game per team per week...

I'm liking it better than the nba already...

he's just a mirror of America...we value money over the rest of our freedoms...all the big American companies over in China also keep their mouths shut about the lack of individual freedoms and democracy there in order to rake in the dough...we don't care how China treats their people...

some peeps who told him to shut up and dribble agree with what he said...

in America: money talks....democracy walks...

Well those people can go fornicate themselves with the wide end of a broom...

It doesn't excuse the hypocrisy coming from LeBron... I have no problem hearing his opinion... But when his opinion is that his paycheck is more important than free speech and democracy, he can join the broom *******...

Huh.

In Lebron's world, he wants complete immunity for players to criticize the President of the United States, but punishment for owners who support democracy in the face of foreign authoritative powers.

Does anyone here think Lebron is justified here? Even a little?

as Lebron stated about Morey, he is certainly entitled to free speech, but may not understand the situation well enough to see where he is wrong and the fallout that will ensue (paraphrased).
True for both of them.

That said, I have more negative reaction to people being told to shut up and dribble than dribblers speaking...the first is showing an alarming lack of understanding and respect about our freedoms, the second I choose to ignore as unqualified to opine.

Meh. I don't really care what any athlete says or does. Some folks have stronger feelings about what they do but to me they are like any of you (or me). No more, more less. I'm certainly not going to stop going to good movies or sporting events because I don't like someones politics.
