Gun Owners of America applied for a Red Flag Order for Senator Check Schumer after he threatened two Supreme Court Judges.

In the wake of Senator Chuck Schumer’s threat against two Supreme Court Justices…

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Gun Owners of America have sent a letter and “red flag” order application to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo requesting a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order for the Senator.

It should be interesting to see if a judge will simply dismiss this as unfounded, ruling that Schumer’s public statement was mere political hyperbole. Even after the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court has called Schumer’s statement was “threatening” and “dangerous.”

wouldn't have been too difficult to say what he meant (obviously he wasn't threatening two Supreme Court Justices with violence)...and even had he said what he meant, he still would have been out of line...I think, anyway.

Politicians have to sing and dance and spew BS out of their mouths for the cameras in order to appear that they are actually doing something. Kinda like when Pelosi tore up Trump's speech. She didn't tear up the bloated budget. She didn't tear up the re-authorization of the Patriot Act. She tore up a copy of a speech. Schumer has to appear to his base that he is "fighting" for them.

I think that those for or against him already consider him a fighter.
His intended message was if ya mess with women's right to choose you will cause a domino effect in the make up of the Senate and House that you will regret biggly.

He could have sent that message to voters in an effort to rally them...assuming the court stays above the political fray as they should.

The real way to "reap the whirlwind" would be to "sow to the wind" which ironically is exactly what he did by provocatively advocating for a national common practice of murdering babies for convenience. We need to pray for senator Schumer and the many like-minded voters that call evil good and good evil.

good and evil are religious concepts protected by the Constitution.
That same document protects others from your religious beliefs.

As an aside; it was Senator Schumer who brought religion into it when he loosely quoted scripture (unknowingly or not) while advocating for abortion.
Not trying to troll, just threading the post needle

I don't have a problem with that. But when you want to legislate those beliefs and force others to abide by them, I do have a problem.

The abortion discussion never goes anywhere, so I'm not gonna sit here and debate it because it's one of those things that 99% of people on both sides will never change their minds on. But I will say this: I have always been bewildered at the number of religious people who think abortion is murder, but war and the death penalty are not.
