Don't mistake despising trump for loving the opposition. Good character matters when you're the potus. Every time we've hung out, you've always been very respectful and humble... I have a hard time thinking you believe trump's behavior can be overlooked just to temporarily have prefferable policies in place.

We are just a trigger away from what you describe. It starts when we lock up the opposition. At any given time I am minutes from midnight from never posting here again because my humor will be misinterpreted and someone here will try to use it against me. There are already things I may post here that I would never consider posting on any social media.

I am really hesitant to lock any political opponents up for almost any reason (thus while I hate hillary the lock her up chants were so disgusting and scary and use of DOJ worse) to the point they can abuse it and use it as cover to commit crimes repercussion free. There has to be a line where when crossed there are repercussions. But where to draw it is tough then will become a never ending game. We got laws on the books and courts.

We survived Trump, so maybe I don't have enough faith in the system. There have been politicians sent to jail previously (Blago, Rostenkowski come to mind) so maybe the system works. But I don't trust it entirely. It's still run by people and in here alone I see people put reasonable thought aside to support their guy and hate the other.

As for this admin I think it is going to be a milk toast geritol vanilla admin that is pretty boring and is a bridge to the next admin 4 years later that could be from either party. Hopefully one of the parties gets their act together. It neither excites me or scares me. Its Gerald Ford II. It truly is time to turn things down and heal. That doesn't mean get silent and accept the absurd like some want it to.

If Trump didn't scare you I'd not worry too much about Biden. I think it's pretty much a placeholder to calm us down after 4 years of the Tourette Presidency .

I use very little other social media and that seems to be less by the day. I know most people here I can argue with, be sarcastic with, and have a drink and a conversation with at any time. No matter what our individual points of view, there are no snowflakes here. I won't be loving every minute of it because Biden is president. I will be loving every minute of it because Trump is not president. I purposely stated that the way I did to troll Ray Ray and Smooth light. I can't help it, their stupidity is so entertaining.
