Side note: I bought it (the bike) a couple years ago for (I think) $120 from an old guy that refurbishes bikes and resells them as a hobby. This spring, I dropped it off at the local bike store for a tune up (replace cables, lube job, dial in the shifters and stuff). The old coot there told me it was a $1500 bike, apparently Jamis is small producer and sort of a famous name for these type of bikes?

I grew up with Schwinn, Huffy, and Trek... never heard of Jamis before (shrug).

My older brother just bought one. He is a bike fanatic and has about 5 bikes anyway. I told him he might as well just get a pair of white shoes and matching belt and move to Florida.

If you can't see the benefit in NOT running a V8 truck for short trips 2-3 times a day, I can't help ya.

However, I am looking for a better solution like a golf cart, but they have to be able to climb my driveway. My steep driveway is the reason I eliminated electric bikes. Even if they have the torque, climbing a very steep hill is too much for bicycle wheels.
