Today's lesson (actually past couple of of months).

Just want to close out this term on these stupid management classes. Two more weeks. I'll be happy with getting an A- on them. I hate taking stupid management classes, I don't want to be a manager and college management classes are not very applicable to the real world but they are part of the curriculum so suck it up buttercup.

It's a federal case. No media. No journalists. It ain't on TV and most of those in media and politics likely want it exactly that way... nothing to see here... move along... none of us are pedo's... Epstein killed himself, we swear. LOOK AWAY!

Final exam for Construction Official is tonight but here I sit reading this stuff instead of my code book.

I'll be content with an A- as well.
Good luck bucky on your exams

Too much prosperity right now as a contractor. So I'll likely continue serving select customers, flipping real-estate & investing.
For now I'm just driven to accumulate more licenses.

I'll be keeping an eye on openings in select municipalities but until I have more licenses in my pocket I'll likely keep earning for a while yet.

Never had a "real" job. So we'll see, but this seems like a useful way to keep me off the streets & out of the lounge in retirement.

Using more of my mind & less of my body to earn my bread & stogies was my motive when I started on this path. Now I suspect it's part of some plan I don't yet understand.

Get licenses! Get 'em all!
That's all I'm thinking of right now.

Thanks, we don't have exams per say, some weekly quizzes on the reading and stuff.

Most of the work this term is assignments, writing up responses to case studies, writing up project plans, risk assessments/mitigation and stuff. I've done a bunch of that in a previous life so its more of getting motivated to write it up. Most of it is just regurgitating the stuff I did before but tailoring it to meet requirements in the specific scenario/case study. It's not rocket surgery.

It's hard for me to get motivated on this pushing paperwork stuff. I really enjoy leaning new things on a technical side. I want to know how things tick and how to make them better. My previous work stuff started to migrate into management roles and spending way too many hours at a desk doing BS paperwork. That's not my cup of tea.

As with you, I'll need to get some certifications beyond the degree (a silly piece of paper that says I made it though school). I'll pass that bridge when I come to it but it's on the horizon so I should start looking in them

With the new career change and another degree, I'll probably be starting out at the ground level doing rookie IT stuff. Prolly make 1/2 or 1/3 of what I did doing what I did before.

It's not about the money to me. I met a fork in the road and I took it (paraphrase a quote attributed to Yogi Berra) It was a conscience decision that I didn't take lightly.

Back on topic: "Knowledge recently acquired..."

WalMart sells sex toys located near the pharmacy and condoms (I did not know that until I had to inventory that area of the store). Aisle F16, no matter where you are in the US, is where you'll find deodorants, sex stuff, pregnancy kits and so forth.

I have two I refer to as kites. Another big one is 9x9' and anchored by 20 gallons of water so it isn't going anywhere.

LEO'S need and appreciate community support. In our little paradise when law enforcement needs more than their funding can support we pitch in a little so they get what they need. We often hear thank you for the help. We just say no, thank you.
