Few yrs ago when I went back home for a visit, I loaded up with cheese stuff. Prolly 20 lbs of various curds, smoked cheese, sausages and stuff for friends out here.

While going through the screening line in Milwaukee they pulled me aside and had to search my carry on. Bomb swiped my carry on and my hands. I was like WTF? Apparently the x-ray and screening machines can't distinguish cheese from plastic explosives. Kinda felt bad for the guy. He said he has to do it about every 15 min.

Morale of the story, don't pack cheese in your luggage while traveling.

It was a truck stop in Menomonie, Wisconsin. I think it was called the Exit 45 Cafe.

Up in Fargo now. Snowing and 18 degrees. Took me about 9 hours to get here today. Snowed about 8 of those hours.

I’ve got two drops near here tomorrow AM then I head 2-3 hours west to Jamestown for my last drop. Afterwards, it’s down to Aberdeen, SD to pickup a load of beef headed to Phoenix, AZ. Supposed to snow tomorrow too.

I remember the first “Ice fishing Herf” I went to in Sconie wit Blacky, Rocky and Sledn, (met up with 8track and Baron one night). My bag was STUFFED with bags of curds and other cheesiness. The TSA guys got quite a chuckle .

Reminds me Blacky! It’s cool enough to ship now!! 🙏

Good topic, reminds me of the years at Volk Field Combat Readiness Center.. many years of 2 week Drunkin Fest!!!

Camp Douglas WI. Jim & Cathy's was the Bar of All Bars for our two week summer camps. everybody would meet back at Jim & Cathy's til closing time and then meander (roll or crawl) back to base and Barracks... Hustler WI had a cool little dive bar we'd all roll into as well... Coz's Pizza was another Joint we'd pile into..

Cheese and Beer/Booze was the Mission aside from our normal war games we played for two weeks!! when our time was up I'd pack the bike or car (whichever vehicle?) with Cheese Curds and take them home to the Family, one year the Kids and their Mother and I went on Vacation to the Dells.. we loaded up on cheese curds and brought them home to freeze and eat on occassions.. many times I'd open the freezer to find only one or two bags remaining. over the years I'd ride up to Milwaukee's Harley Plant to tour, with different Girlfriends and always bring home Cheese Curds... Now Curds is the Pandemic of epic proportions!!! 🇨🇮

Fried, tossed in Homemade Chilli, stacked in homemade crockpot Lasagna. the list is endless... I'm a frickin Cheese Addict!!!#-o 😣 😣

The ones in Wisconsin are for sure better but if you're in a pinch and need some curds, Buffalo Wild Wings are decent.
