Texas residents please don't hate me, my family goes way back to the Texas Republic, we lived there for eight years and have visited several time since leaving.

Texas is gorgeous, but it has this kind of tacky side it never really shakes. It's also being developed at an alarming rate, fine if you like living in the big city. Chose a great location in the country and a housing development or factory is liable to spring up next door.

Driving is a little on the crazy side, however 70 MPH speed limits (minimus really) are pretty nice for getting someplace in a hurry.

Where you heading to? I’m here on a try-out basis. I like Sugar Land but I’m a burbanite. Nothing so far says we gotta stay here.

I used to live in Fort Collins CO. Close enough to Wyoming. Don’t think I want the winter.

Wyoming in the summer could be nice. Heck, Maine and Minnesota are nice in the summer.

It is. I’ve spent probably 40 of my summers there. My mother’s family has a cattle ranch there. We have a home there.
