Sent me a renewal for my vehicle registration... to my address... in FLORIDA.

I sent them a change of address form for myself and my wife, and a statement of facts that I left the state, moved to FL and my vehicle is legally registered in FL.

I got another renewal from them today...

I think you should pay it.

Those tags are worth money on the secondary market. You're on a fixed income now, whats a little extra scratch for some stickers?

Jonesy might even trade you some food stained dumpster Picasso paintings for them

Hate to see them start penalizing you and for you to have to work out.

The most useful document to send them is anything showing Florida is where you homestead is registered/granted. It can be pulled up online. Voter I.D and license would probably work too.

Probably think that a few idiots will pay. Like throwing 💩 against the wall. Most will slide down, but some will stick.

How could they possibly "legally" penalize me for not registering my truck? I left the state July 12, 2022 and have not been back. The truck is registered and paid for in CA until May 20th 2023, and I have already switched everything to Florida. It is legally registered in the state of FL until December 2023.

I sent them a change of address and a statement of facts to the address they provided on the DMV website. As far as I am concerned, I have exceeded my commitment to them. I paid for a full year and only used about 4 months of the registration before I left and had it switched to FL.

The only thing I have not done is sent back the plates, but they do not reuse them.

send them back and demand a refund for the unused 8 months!!!

CA DMV has earned its rep as the worse public agency ever! I once went into the local office to get a photo ID done. 5 out of the 6 windows were closed for lunch...
