I didn't get here in time. Dafter stole it. Pretty sure I'll survive.

Oh wait, I'm sick tomorrow. I look pale and and flushed (can you look pale and flushed at the same time?)

If not, I developed a new sickness. Flushypale syndrome, better known as FPS. It's a rare illness. It lasts a day or so but someone with FPS might need a blood transfusion and stuff. Full treatments are to yet to be determined.

Take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning. Unless you don't like aspirin. Then take two Skittles or eat some beef jerky and call the Doc in the morning.

This week at work has been skeleton crew. Folks have been burning sick time and vacation hours that they can't carry over. Spring and summer are the busy times of the company. As fall and winter sets in, it slows down.

And that is the life in IT. Been that way since the early 90s. Used to go balls to the wall 365/24-7 but Accounting needed to rack the books soooo.

Good luck and HNY

Sup folks? We have a slow draining sink in the bathroom. It's not plugged but just slow draining. Prolly a flush with liquid plumber will fix it.

Need to do a little grocery shopping so I'll pick up a jug of liquid plumber. The sink shares the same plumbing pipes with the tub/shower. My guess is its hair blockage from the shower. Since I virtually have no hair and my son and daughter both have hair, I blame the kids.

A minor thing on the list to do. Oh wait, I'm sick and need a blood transfusion. I should probably address that after I hit the grocery store.

Great way to end the year, one of the guys at work went into management. So I took his spot as a generator mechanic now. We (4 of us) maintain around 500 generators around our service area. Same pay but it comes with a truck that I get to park less than 5 min from the house.

Think maybe I'll take wife n boy bowling today.

I almost want to go back to work. Weather sucks and I have nothing going on indoors. Don't want to spend any money doing things or starting new projects since I blew all my fun money on Christmas and need new fun money for Florida trip.

Pop off the drain plate in the shower and pull out the hair ball. I did that recently and it was amazing how much hair there was. Iffn I'm not mistaking Liquid Plumber is harmful to the pipes.

Good advice, Bucky. I did the same for a slow draining shower and pulled a hair plug out...drains fine now. To keep all of our drains running well, I use an enzyme every three months, then follow up the next day with a flush with a large pot of hot, nearly boiling, water. I also do a thorough flush every two years or so, by systematically opening all the hot water taps and letting them run for 15 minutes, followed by a cold water flush.

Yup...boiling hot pots of water followed with bleach.

Actually did baking soda followed by vinegar (it fizzes for some physical action and the vinegar helps to break up soap scum) then followed by boiling water. Seems to work and there is no standing water. It's not a big deal, just sort of annoying to have an inch of water while it slowly drains away. It only happens in the bathroom sink and tub/shower. The $ihitter works fine, kitchen sink works fine.

First world annoyances. I'm sure I will recover from the bathroom sink slow drain thingy.

Unfortunately no, it will be the same amount of overtime. I finished the year with 543 hours of ot. The rest of the department fell between 460-570 hours. And crew leaders being between 750-870 hours. Usually it's not so bad if it's spread out over time but when it's a lot at once that is what makes it hard on the family.

Family, friends and personal peace has no dollar value. It's easier to find another job rather then to find another family, friends, and personal peace.

I've burned the candle at both ends and it burned me out. It took me sometime to recognize that it wasn't working out.
