81450 Warped Chinchalle. Same story as the Sfumato. Warped is 2 weeks but found a deal on a box gotta see if it's worth it. Bought this single before I buy a fiver or more and learn it ain't for me.

First light very dry woody flavors. The kind I don't care for. Peanut shells everywhere. Little sting on retrohale, more of a wood smoke sting than a spice sting. Gonna keep going but it's a no on the box buy if this is the lane we're going down.

I want to say I don't like habano but I just don't like this type of habano. Very woody, and I could do a woody nutty profile if backed up by a sweet cream texture. I do not enjoy astringency in a cigar at all. It's an automatic fail for me. Do not pass go.

Very glad I bought the single to evaluate. It's an excellent cigar. But in a profile I don't enjoy. Like appreciating the skill of a musical artist I don't enjoy listening to. I dont like Prince, but that boy was a musical genius.

814xx Espinosa Sarsasparilla beli from darklord trade. I've had a couple Espinosa cigars in the past and they didn't wow me so I don't have high hopes but well see.

First light is leathery with some grittiness behind it. Little sweet spice nothing discernable. Burn is uneven in the first inch with an 1/8" void tunnel on the faster burn part. Gonna see if that seals up or corrections won't do chit.

Touched it up and dropped the ash once the burn line evened out. Dunno if it's the name or if it's really there but there's a Sarsasparilla flavor like those root beer barrel candies. Maybe some anise too. It's a weird profile. Gonna grab a root beer to pair for the rest of this. Dunno if if pick that up if it were unbanded/ blind.

Halfway I looked it up. MSA wrapper nic fill. Does have the filthy gritty dirt from the MSA but balanced with a pretty sweet filler blend. No pepper bite, it's a very smooth leathery smoke. There's a lingering salty/metallic quality in there but not overpowering or unwelcome.

I dont know if I'd buy one at $10, but it's interesting enough I wouldn't mind having another. Reminds me of my thoughts on the other Espinosa cigars I've had. Unique for the sake of being unique but not something I want in a regular rotation. Can't say I've ever opened the humidor and thought I wanted a cigar with notes of anise. I'd call this one good.

I’ve said this before but I really feel the MSA of 10-ish years ago is different than today. To me, the “old” MSA wasn’t as overpowering and dirt-like. But it wasn’t nearly as popular back then as it is now so I’ve wondered if growing or drying techniques have changed to accommodate the demand.

What root beer didja drink? A&W? Hires? Mug? Other? 🤔

Be on the lookout for notes of a buttery shortbread flavor. Delta will be jealous if your cigar has it. 😲

A&W sugar free root beer. It's the only diet root beer I enjoy.

A&W sugar free cream soda is my favorite drink to pair with cigars. It's like it was made for cigars. So good.

This one don't got it.

I do love that flavor though. I like a creamy rich mouthfeel and lingering sweetness. Like a buttered shortbread.

I can’t remember iffin’ I tried the SF A&W RB. I try not to drink sodas at all but have a weak spot for RB, Cream and Wild Cherry Pepsi (…not ask me why, it’s a mystery to me too…). Will hafta give the SF versions of the first two a shot.

Thanks.

The foot cracked up the side a bit when I toasted it. It didn’t taste the same as the last fiver I opened. Disappointed.

Thought I bought a single but found another in the humidor…that means there’s 3 more in storage. This one was so much better than the first one. Can’t believe it came out of the same 5 pack. Even still. I won’t repurchase or recommend it.
