Great that Trump went and talked to their convention.

I used to think it was going to splinter one or both of the 2 major parties...now...

Nobody sane is voting for this.

Can't wait to hear all the "I'm voting 3rd Party" people defend this vote!

I’m down with a lot of Libertarian ideology but they need to have different factions. I like Von Mises and Hayek style economics. Give me Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell. The Libertarian wing of the party that looks more like Anarchism is not attractive to me. We must have some government but yes, the government that governs least governs best…I believe that chit. Our system of government depends on virtuous leadership, not drag queen story hour.

There's no way this garner's 3%.

I used to enjoy listening to “Free Talk Live” the show was thought provoking and interesting….then one day after a long break of not listening they had a show where they brought up the age of consent being a construct.

There’s people that are “out there” in every group.

I was praying for Michael Rectenwald, as a former Marxist he knows how EVIL the LEFT and WOKENESS is.

The Libertarian wing of the party that looks more like Anarchism to you isn't anarchist. It's more libertine and less libertarian.
Anarchism has a dual meaning, one quite opposite of the other. One is positive and moves toward less centralized authority, the other is negative, toward an overthrow of political and cultural norms, and moves inevitably toward greater authoritarian control.

I don’t know enough about the leaders of today’s Libertarian party to form an opinion on that. Looking at any social system we must consider philosophy of both government and economy otherwise people end up trying to compare Democracy to Socialism or Free Market Enterprise to Authoritarianism. In any event, if we look at the desired goals and end-state that any political block espouses, we will find either a clearly defined philosophy of government and economy or just a bunch of misguided blabber mouths who don’t know what they’re doing. Have you read anything by Rudolf Rocker?

No, I don't know much about Rocker. Was he one of those crazy European Anarcho-syndicalists?

Sir, yes sir. His writings are the clearest and most succinct IMHO plus he doesn’t skip over history. I’m no Anarcho-syndicalist myself but I was interested in the topic. I think Noam Chomsky says he is closer to A-S than anything but I could be mistaken. Forgive me for not looking it up but I can’t deal with wading through Chomsky’s horse chit right now.

I think this was a brilliant move to get the Mises Caucus to vote for Cheeto Jesus. And maybe just maybe pull some of the freaky bunch away from Sleepy Peejoe.

Really quite genius actually.

I hope that happens instead of choosing not to vote at all.

The fallout from the 2024 Libertarian Party FAIL has begun.

"The clueless antics and boorish behavior at the recent 2024 Libertarian Party National Convention in DC further confirm my deeply held observations. With Chase Oliver the LP has chosen a presidential standard-bearer who will prove the weakest, most divisive, and alienating candidate in its long history."
