True enough.

There are many here that feel that any law or regulation regarding business is a BAD thing. Just like the Cbid wisdom on guns.

All you have to do is play Monopoly to the end and you’ll see that there is a need for some controls (laws, regulations). Else one wins and everyone else looses. And there are many who see nothing wrong with this. The term ruthless comes to mind.

So Harris is talking about controls. And the right (who cry about the date rape of paying gas prices, or $7.99 for a bag of Cheetos) will tell us that all her ideas are bad - even having never heard them.

Interesting about the “no tax on tips” thing: Trump promises this, the Left agrees (this should be a win for everyone - “democracy”) - but Trump goes off the rails. She “stole his idea”.
Next he’ll be telling us she “stole his election”…….

Hmph…mixed bag. But I will say that I’m one who brays about free markets and free labor markets and free enterprise when I actually mean that I’m for limited government intervention and fewer regulations and fewer non-elected officials making laws. It is economy of argument or sheer laziness on my part but I admit that I paint very broad strokes with many of my “policy” opinions.

I heard the Kamala/Waltz campaign is calling their economic destructionist plan an "Opportunity Economy"
Translated, that means an opportunity for more socialism.

Here’s an excellent 15” video on Michel Foucault and the explanation of what queer is. One of postmodern philosophy / woke only definable critical theories.

11:15 long video of how intersectional (woke) studies are translated from the book and into society. This is more of a specific example rather than a broader discussion. Probably not terribly interesting if you’re not interested in how Postmodern Philosophy has formed critical mass in our institutions. It’s interesting to note that the researcher here compares this to religion. Of course it is like religion to a Godless sect. I don’t say that disparagingly but as a matter of fact.

I find myself struggling a bit with hanging all that on Postmodern Philosophy. That is the collective works of more than a dozen authors, over several decades, on every subject from Anthropology to Religion. So it sounds broad brush - like "white people are racist".

Perhaps that is convenient - it is such a large, diverse body of works that few could really say the know the subject. I get the point that liberal ideas are "bad"....

This guy was a Postmodern Philosopher, and had a lot to day:

Jean Baudrillard -

Baudrillard, known for his simulation theory, argued that the individual's experience and perception of reality derives its basis entirely from media-propagated ideals and images. The real and fantasy become indistinguishable, leading to the emergence of a wide-spread simulation of reality.

Does that make him "Woke"?

^ Well, I'm convinced. The whole purpose of lefty professors preaching the dogma of wokeness is to make people S T U P I D.

I was saying that it seem like the postings are labeling a whole diverse group of people as "woke".

And while woke means having a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights - in the conservatives lexicon in simple means "liberal" and "bad".

I don't think it is accurate, much less fair, to call this large and valuable group of thinkers bad - especially in light of how much they disagreed with each other, and how much they have to offer.
