And just like that here I am again……

Here I am again on my own.

Going down the only road I've ever known

Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.

And I made up my mind

I aint wasting no more time

But here I go again

Hey Frank! I was harassing 8 the other day and figured I'd drop in and say hi. I think Arn had the same idea. (Not the part about harassment of 8)

I think it is Drafter. 8 took the win earlier today.

Making Argentina style empanadas for dinner.

Oh, my Lord. I love empanadas. My ex-wife's family is from Chile - they were able to escape a couple years after Pinochet took power. Mamma Chella (ex-wife grandmother) would always make empanadas during family gatherings. Meat ones, cheese ones, veggie ones. They were awesome. I have her recipes somewhere.

When she was in the kitchen cooking, she took control of the stove and oven. My dog, Madison, probably benefited the most when she was around... he glued himself to Mamma Chella. Chella had a habit of "accidentally" dropping scraps of food on the floor and Madison was right there to clean it up.

He was no dummy. When Mamma Chella is in the house, Madison is sure to score some yummy human food "scraps".

Now I'm hungry for some empandas.

Good Monday Morning to All! It's an overcast 77° on the way to 83° with rain expected any minute and a flood watch for low lying areas.

Good sized boy. We've had three boys. 65. 80, and 92 pounders.
Leaning towards a smaller female for our final hound around the track.

If you are having a difficult time placing him, how far east do I have to travel to get him?

We are in central Kentucky. Not sure if the adoption agency allows for outside adoptions though because they require a house visit.

Also, geez 92 pounds? And I thought our grey was big haha

If you are in Green Bay over a Saturday, the Washington Street Farmer's Market has a vendor than makes and sells them. Unsure of their lineage. The woman came her from somewhere south of Mexico and started selling them a couple years ago. Apple and Raspberry my faves.

The 92 pounder was a horse. In researching at the time, we learned the largest purebred greyhound was 105 pounds. Yikes.

Understand the home visit obstacle. Although when we went to a greyhound Meet & Greet in Madison (2 hours south) we gave them our backgrounds and pictures of our home. All the throw rugs, the fenced off area for their business and some quick sprints. They were excited to get us a dog, pending that home visit. When they learned they would have to make the 4 hour round trip, they decided a Facetime, virtual visit was good enough.

We just wanted to make the connection in June. Weren't ready to pull the trigger until next Spring- unless a special situation arose.

Was able to bring up the picture. Some uncanny similarities.

-The look on his face is the spitting image of our 92 pound boy.
-His color and markings are almost identical for of little 60 boy who we lost to bone cancer when he was 4.

Horis had a parent who's first name is Superior. The track name of our 60 pounder was Superior Style.

Wonder if Horis is the reincarnation of our Buckner in Disco's body. 😰
