The force of misanthropy runs strong here. What you fear in the Harris/Walz ticket is they are not misanthropes like so many of you are. I listened to Shapiro, Harris, and Walz speak at Temple University. Guess what, you just lost the election. There was a crowd of 10,000 energetic, happy, screaming people there. At a Trump rally there are a couple of thousand people or less in the audience. Why, a real panty raid event you describe there! Full of joy. stolen Valor and optimism as they raise up Iranian terrorist endeavors to tear down our closest ally in the Middle East. How many cheers for Hamas will The Squad perform? Of course they spoke about all Americans. They hate this nation and want to destroy all it stands for. Rip up the Constitution and forget all about the elections, the plandemic, forced vaccinations and passports to go to a restaurant or out in public, the incessant gun grabs all while defunding law enforcement while they're busy whipping up riots in their major cities, using taxpayer money for the stupidest of things like the Green New Deal, pushing transgenderism insanity on children. The way they installed Harris reminded me of Muammar al-Qaddafi and the manner in which he was "elected" to power in Libya. Those people didn't mind him being in power either. Kamala Harris’s Vice President Pick Gov. Tim Walz Facing Stolen Valor Accusation

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) — the vice presidential candidate pick of Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris — has listed on his official biography a higher military rank than the one he ultimately retired with, drawing criticism from some veterans and accusations of stolen valor.

Walz served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired at the rank of master sergeant, or an E-8. However, on his official website bio, he lists a higher rank that he served at for a short period that ultimately was rescinded, as he did not complete all the requirements to serve at that rank. However, his bio implies that he retired at the rank of command sergeant major, or an E-9.

His official bio states:

After 24 years in the Army National Guard, Command Sergeant Major Walz retired from the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion in 2005. Tim won his first election to the United States House of Representatives in 2006 and was re-elected for another five terms serving Minnesota’s First Congressional District in Southern Minnesota.

The Minnesota National Guard’s State Public Affairs Officer, Army Lt. Col. Kristen Augé, confirmed to Breitbart News that Walz did not retire as an E-9. She said in an email:

He retired as a master sergeant in 2005 for benefit purposes because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.

Two retired Army Command Sergeant Majors, Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr, wrote in a letter published November 2, 2018, in the West Central Tribune, a local news outlet, that Walz on September 17, 2004, was “conditionally promoted” to Command Sergeant Major but then later failed to meet the conditions of the promotion, which they said was later nullified.

“On September 17th, 2004 he was conditionally promoted to Command Sergeant Major. The conditions had been outlined to him when he was counseled and he signed the Statement of Agreement and Certification. If the conditions are not met, the promotion is null and void, like it never happened,” they wrote.

They then said that after his unit was issued orders to deploy to Iraq, he then quit. They wrote:

In early 2005, a warning order was issued to the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion, which included the position he was serving in, to prepare to be mobilized for active duty for a deployment to Iraq.

On May 16th, 2005 he quit, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war. His excuse to other leaders was that he needed to retire in order to run for congress. Which is false, according to a Department of Defense Directive, he could have run and requested permission from the Secretary of Defense before entering active duty; as many reservists have. If he had retired normally and respectfully, you would think he would have ensured his retirement documents were correctly filled out and signed, and that he would have ensured he was reduced to Master Sergeant for dropping out of the academy. Instead he waited for the paperwork to catch up to him. His official retirement document states, SOLDIER NOT AVAILABLE FOR SIGNATURE.

On September 10th, 2005 conditionally promoted Command Sergeant Major Walz was reduced to Master Sergeant. It took a while for the system to catch up to him as it was uncharted territory, literally no one quits in the position he was in, or drops out of the academy. Except him.

In November of 2005, while the battalion trained for war at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, it received an offer from retired Master Sergeant Walz. He offered to fund raise for the battalions bus trip home over Christmas that year.

The 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion was deployed for 22 months in 2006 – 2007. During this time, they were restricted by Army regulations and could not speak out against a candidate for office. In November 2006 he was elected to the House of Representatives.

They wrote:

He claims to be the highest-ranking enlisted service member ever to serve in congress. Even though he was conditionally promoted to Command Sergeant Major less than eight months, quit before his obligations were met, and was reduced to Master Sergeant for retirement. Yes, he served at that rank, but was never qualified at that rank, and will receive retirement benefits at one rank below. You be the judge.

Behrends has since spoken out about Walz on other occasions, including to Alpha News on September 6, 2022, when he slammed the governor for bailing on the deployment.

“As soon as the shots were fired in Iraq, he turned and ran the other way and hung his hat up and quit,” Behrends said.

Behrends said he replaced Walz on the deployment to Iraq after he quit.

“The public needs to know how pathetic his leadership was as a National Guardsman,” he said. “He abandoned us. What the hell kind of leader does that? As soon as the shots were fired in Iraq, he turned and ran the other way and hung his hat up and quit.”

Behrends went on to serve in Iraq on a nearly two-year deployment — while Walz ran for Congress and began calling himself “Command Sergeant Major.”

According to Alpha News, Behrends said he contacted Walz with his concerns before raising the issue publicly, sending letters to Washington in 2016, but that all the letters went unanswered.

Behrends told the outlet: “He was saying that and there were campaign letters coming in the mail saying that. They said, right on there, he’s a retired command sergeant major. Just tooting his own horn, hanging on the coattails of people that actually are command sergeant majors that went through all the process and put all the time in.”

Behrends said, “It’s stolen valor is really what it is. I don’t know of anybody else that’s done what he’s done.”

What To Know About Gov. Tim Walz's Controversial Tampon Bill
Tampons, pads, and other menstrual products must be stocked free of charge in Minnesota's public schools.

ST. PAUL, MN — Democrat Tim Walz's selection as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate has brought national attention and criticism to the bills he's signed into law as Minnesota's governor.

Some of the most progressive laws in Minnesota's history were passed in the last two years, during the period when Democrats held a trifecta in the state government.

Among those laws is one that requires public schools in Minnesota to stock menstrual products in all girls and boys bathrooms at no charge to students. The bill went into effect Jan. 1.

The products, which include pads and tampons, must be available in restrooms "regularly" used by students in grades 4 to 12.

The state will supply the funding for the tampons with "$2 times the adjusted pupil units of the school district for the school year," the law states.

Rep. Sandra Feist, a Democrat from New Brighton who pioneered the measure, said in January that the associated cost of the measure would be a "wise investment" because it would keep students from missing school due to "period poverty."

"One out of every 10 menstruating youth miss school during their menstruating cycle due to lack of access to menstrual products and resources," Feist said in a House Education Finance Committee hearing.

A Republican-backed amendment to add the word "female" to the bill failed in committee. "Not all students who menstruate are female," Feist said, persuading committee members to vote "no" on the amendment.

Feist said some schools have gender-neutral bathrooms. She acknowledged that female students use menstruation products more often, but said it is still important to have them in all bathrooms.

After Walz Pick, Kamala Can No Longer Deny She’s A Radical Leftist

Don’t believe anyone who tells you Tim Walz is a “folksy” Midwesterner — he’s a radical who confirms Harris’ worst liberal instincts.

Prior to two weeks ago, Kamala Harris’ political career was defined by two things: Being America’s most liberal senator and the most unpopular vice president since we started polling.

The popularity problem was easy enough to solve. After she was dubiously installed as the Democratic standard bearer, the media charm offensive and meme onslaught began. Harris now has a degree of superficial popularity such that she’s not the toxic figure she was a few months ago.

Of course, that could change. Incredibly, Kamala Harris captured her party nomination through a bizarre process before she even answered a single question from a reporter. Everything Harris has done so far has been scripted and staged, and the voting public hasn’t been confronted with her off-putting demeanor and legendary verbal vapidity. You can bemoan how unethical and artificial this P.R. campaign was, but so far it’s been effective enough.

That leaves the problem of Kamala’s radical politics. Whitewashing her record here is no easy feat. Her legislative record as a senator is hard left — everything from trying to mandate racial quotas to legalizing squatting. Then her aborted presidential campaign in 2020 found her publicly supporting everything from banning fracking to abolishing private health insurance.

Her current campaign’s way of getting around this problem is almost admirable in terms of it’s brazenness. They’re just issuing generic statements announcing Harris has flip-flopped on several major issues which happen to be toxic in swing states such as illegal immigration, single-payer healthcare, and fracking. She still isn’t personally answering any questions about how these major reversals came about, and in response the media is happy to adopt the most favorable framing on her behalf.

In some respects, this is reminiscent of the way Obama was dishonestly sold to voters in 2008. But unlike Harris, Obama was smart, verbally fluid and explained his supposed pragmatism repeatedly in a way that was convincing to voters. In this respect, his 2004 “Red States and Blue States” Democratic convention speech that launched him to national prominence is arguably the best political speech of the last twenty-five years; it’s just too bad Obama’s record as president renders the whole thing almost entirely insincere in retrospect.

Enter Tim Walz. There’s a lot to be said about why he was chosen. Even CNN pundits are openly saying that the selection of Walz over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is evidence of the fact antisemitism dictates who can be on a Democratic ticket. He also has a modicum of charisma, ensuring he’d outshine the lightweight Harris.

Shapiro would have been an asset to the ticket in ways Walz is not. He is a popular governor in a state that Harris needs to win. A case can be made Shapiro, who appears to have studied Obama so closely he’s even copied his unique speaking style, also adopted an Obama-style pragmatism to get elected. (And like Obama, Shapiro was also insincere in his pragmatism — he was famously in favor of school choice programs until he got elected.)

Walz, on the other hand, is very liberal and has the governing record to match. There’s no honest way to massage what he’s about. Here’s what the Minnesota Legislature passed, with Walz’s enthusiastic support, just last year:

— All limits on abortion at any stage of pregnancy were repealed, as were laws requiring doctors to treat infants born alive after an abortion. References to “women” in the new laws were replaced with “pregnant people”.

— Minnesota declared itself a “refuge” for transgender surgeries and therapies for minors. Gender surgery will now to be publicly funded.

— Public and charter schools are mandated to teach “ethnic studies,” and school boards are instructed to adopt “antiracist” curricula and teach “the history of the genocide of Indigenous Peoples.”

— Drivers’ licenses and state-funded health care are now available for illegal immigrants.

— Private religious colleges are forbidden to “require a faith statement” from enrolling students.

— Convicted felons now have the right to vote before completing parole or probation.

And that’s just a straightforward description of what happened. The details and politics of what’s happened in Minnesota are even more radical than they sound. And let’s not forget that Walz was governor of Minnesota during 2020, when he openly sympathized with the rioters that destroyed Minneapolis, who he enabled by refusing to call out the National Guard for days. When asked about what was going on, he actually tried to blame the riots on “white supremacists.”

Despite this, the media are falsely portraying Walz as some affable Midwestern guy with broad appeal. The groupthink has settled on the word “folksy” to describe him. As a former high school teacher and National Guardsman (albeit with one with a dubious and cowardly record) who got elected to Congress in a district that voted for Trump by a decent margin, there will be those arguing that Walz has some appeal to the blue collar voters that a San Francisco liberal such as Harris might alienate.

But to put this in terms that a “folksy” person might understand, that dog won’t hunt. If Walz ever possessed such an appeal, that was a long time ago. The results of the 2022 gubernatorial election suggests Walz isn’t going to help attract the Midwest swing state voters Harris needs. By contrast, Walz has been enthusiastically championed by the most radical members of Congress.

The media has already let Harris get away with all but lying about her record, and they will do their level best to make sure Walz gets the same treatment. But the fact is that the selection of Walz strongly reinforces the idea that if Harris is elected, their White House will embrace a hard left politics. Walz can’t run from his record, and with Harris choosing him for the ticket, she can no longer deny she’s the radical liberal she’s always been.

https://thefederalist.com/2024/08/07/after-walz-pick-kamala-can-no-longer-deny-shes-a-radical-leftist/

Trump was President when Covid1984 hit. The economy went into the toilet as a result. Jobs were lost as a result. Biden wants to claim some strong economy when in fact he made it worse by laying off people that wouldn't get a clot shot. Then after everyone FINALLY listened to reason and NOT Fauci...the people returning (in some cases back to their old job) to work in record numbers appears like he "created" net new jobs. You probably didn't think of that or know it though. Doesn't fit your narrative. Unable to look at the much bigger picture and the game afoot with Biden and the DNC.
