Like cigars, food, music, adult beverages, cars, womens, etc., “favorites” are personal choices.

To paraphrase the old saying, “Like what you watch, watch what you like.”

No argument, bruddah... I just figured it was going to be awesome since everyone loves it. I was disappointed.

That's not to say it ain't a great movie, it's just saying that I did not appreciate it. 🍺

With all the movie talk, pulled out my DVD of “Casablanca” and MF! it wouldn’t play! Other discs play fine so must be the disc itself. Put in a request to borrow a copy from the library.

Sorry, Idiocracy is no longer considered entertainment, it's been moved to the reference category.

I don’t care for the personality of Robert DeNiro but that won’t keep me from watching his movies. He’s one of my favorite actors. I bet that would make him sick to his stomach lol

My feelings exactly.

Before I saw it, I didn't know he appeared in Brazil. I did a double take when I saw him.

Watched “Casablanca” again.

Paid special attention to the dialogue this time. In some points the movie feels like a comedy. Definitely still in my Top 3.

Yup.

But separate threads for him as an actor and him as a director? 🤔

Some really good Tom Hanks movies - Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump. Philadelpia, A League of Their Own, The Davinci Code and others.

Watched “Seven Samurai” for like the 5th or 6th time. It’s such a GREAT movie that I keep forgetting that it’s well over 3 hours long.

Not that I’mma glutton for punishment but now I’mma thinking of watching a couple other 3-hour-ish beasts again - “How the West Was Won” and “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.” I know both were broadcast on TV but at that time, wasn’t close to interested in re-watching them.
