Thank you everyone for jumping in. This will be the first pass I’m hosting so I hope I made some nice selections for you guys to ponder over. I think I may have gone a little overboard.
Everyone here has done this before, and we all know the rules.

Post your takes and puts for approval

Turn it around as quick as possible. Keep in touch with the person before or after you, with the holidays approaching people may be away for a few days, if we must move on to the next person we can and come back around again.

This is not intended to be critical, and is just a suggestion. You've done a great job in putting a large and diverse selection together to offer, John. This is admirable, but potentially troublesome.

In a box pass, loose cigars will be tossed frequently as participants look through the offerings, trying to examine the merchandise to make a choice. With this many cigars, there will be a lot of tossing, and alas, a high probability that one or a few innocent cigars will be damaged. Better to reduce the number.

As the box moves along it is likely to gain more cigars at each stop. I've seen passes where the box comes home with more than twice the number of cigars that began the trek. Bigger box means more postage and greater chance of damage. Better to reduce the number.

Another likelihood is paralysis by analysis. With so many choices, some guys might take some time, maybe a lotta time, to make the "right" picks. Better to reduce the number.

This is a risky time of year to send packages. This increases the risk of a damaged, lost or stolen box. Your proposal is more than a substantial investment (more than 60 cigars). Better to reduce the number.

Regardless of the number you decide to start with, one solution to avoid handling damage would be to put the cigars into 5 finger bags, so that each one is in its own protective cocoon. Players can see each cigar without actually fondling and sniffing them...

Super selection John but I was thinking along the same lines as Al and how we're going to need a pallet by the time this goes home. Better to reduce the number.

Ok fellas, I've gone over this a few times, even slept on it. I've pulled some cigars from the pass. Fits much better now, no room for anything extra.

And seriously now, even though this next sentence will fall flat. Host bags and lopsided swaps are strongly discouraged. I'm not doing this in hopes of getting extra cigars, believe me when I say I've got enough to last 10+ years. All of you have already been generous enough to me. Honestly, I just figured I'd just do a little something for the holidays, for the boys, and take a chance to give even a little something back where I can.

No need to rush through this. Enjoy It and enjoy the holidays
