My place has a detached garage which doesn't have electricity running to it. In the winter months, taking the trash out to toss in the garbage bin kinda sucks since the Sun goes down early and I don't have night vision.

Bought some battery powered LED flood lights that are motion detected so when I or the neighbors go into the garage, it will turn on and light it up the area. Gave the neighbor kid $20 to screw them into the wall/studs of the garage. I'm too lazy to drag out a ladder and mount them. I don't mind giving the kid a few bucks to do the chore. Prolly a 15 minute job.

Garage will be lit when we go in there for whatever and the kid gets some spending money. It's a win win for all involved.

Wife made Stromboli and fries. She used pepperoni, ham, salami & provolone cheese. Pretty damn good.

He's a good kid. We have some elderly folks in the neighborhood. He snowblows and shovels their sidewalks and driveways in the winter, mows lawns in the summer, does odds and ends for some extra cash. He tells me "I'm a business man. I work to help folks out when they need it and I also work for money. Cash I can save and spend. If no cash, I get paid in cookies, a smile, a Thank you and good karma."

Ya gotta support an attitude like that. I don't mind giving him some money for an easy quick little job. I invent jobs for him to do. Honest money for honest work.

Wait... mind is calculating... I paid him $20 for a 15 min job to screw in a couple light thingies in the garage... the kid just made $80/hr off me tax free? Call the cops, I was robbed!

Might have to call Drafter and frank to settle the score.

Just kidding (stand down Drafter and frank). The kid deserves it and I added Thank You since I don't have fresh cooked cookies.

I could go for a hunk of stromboli with pepperoni, ham, salami & provolone cheese with a side of fries about now. Maybe garlic bread or onion rings but fries will do.

In my limited eating of Strombolis, the ones I tried at Four Kegs in Las Vegas were the best…but I’mma sure they aren’t nearly as good as Robert’s wife’s ones.

Had a nice break in the weather, mid-upper 30s today so I got the ladder out and took down Christmas lights.

Pulled a half dozen dead mice outta the traps in the shed and reset em all. Picked up 300lbs of chicken feed and put it in the shed. Mice have been eating a significant amount of chicken feed this year. Gotta be a huge colony out there but I never see more than one or two, and only caught 6 in 12 traps over 2 weeks.

Wife and I went out for fish n chips at, by far, the best place in town called KnockKneed Lobster. Bad part of town so we have to go early and be out of there before dark. Kinda dicey place but it's been a tradition for 40+ years. Also the best red sauce to go with the cod than any other place we have tried.

It was the first time she made em and the first time I've had one. Dipped it in some homemade marinara.

Idk, to me it's kinda like a thin crust calzone that's rolled into a different vitola.

Currently 44 on the gulf coast and going to 65 today. All evidence of recent global warming is gone.

Just put a 10lb brisket flat on and it should be ready to take off in 8 hours.

Just know that when the cold is over, you'll get a brief respite before I start complaining about how hot it is.

No such thing as bad weather. Only bad gear. I mean, you might have enough money for some nice duds if you took a week from buying sticks. My boots are only two boxes of New World at MSRP. And talk about carrying rich leather overtones.
