Their products have been taken of the shelves in Canada and I heard they are being sent back to Kentucky. Canada was one of their best customers. Layoffs remored.

Did you SEE the disparity in the tariffs we pay Canada, vs what they pay us?

It's highway freakin' robbery.

So, they bought the goods and had them in their stores...and then removed them from purchase...yeah, that's brilliant!

If they are being returned there should be a restocking fee.. good day for Jack Daniels... šŸŗ

Had w-a-y too much Jack in my younger days and can’t even bring a shot / glass of it to my nose anymore. The last time I did that (…must be close to 20 years…), I almost barfed. Didn’t / Couldn’t drink it. Oddly enough, I can tolerate other expressions but good ā€˜ol No. 7 is a no-go. 🤐

They can keep Old #7

But their newer expressions are pretty good (single barrel cask strength bourbon and rye) wish we could get some of the 10 and 12 year variants here to try, they have scored really well in blinds.

Or bulliet bourbon orange label..

Or dropped that line yrs ago...
Last time I bought it was 10 yrs ago...
It was aged longer , 10?12 yrs?

Gentleman's jack?
It wasn't anywhere near $50 or $75

It was $25? 30? 10 yrs ago...

The info is out there, Jonesie... I will say this, a trade war will cripple Canada. It will not affect us very much at all.

I forgot why we want to cripple Canada.
Coulda swore they were our BFF's.

They already beefed up that leaky border, as requested, where an estimated 1% of fentanyl was pouring into USA.

They're gonna raise energy costs to like a dozen northern states now...but as you say there ain't much they can do to us if we really wanna crush them...but I never thought of us as bullies. Russia, yes. Us, not so much, at least with allies.

Jack Daniels sucks.

If I thought my BFF was being mean to me, I'd call him.
I wouldn't just suddenly try to make him go broke.

I'm not sure about you, but my BFF's don't charge me 200% tarriff's on some stuff while we charge them 10% (example only, you can look it up and see how bad we've been getting stiffed) and Canada is already defended by us, simply by being our neighbor.

Not saying we want to cripple Canada. I'm saying their not wanting to have FAIR trade will hurt them a lot more than it hurts us.

Why does everyone seem to be okay with an imbalance in tarriffs against the US? Damn near everyone tarriffs the sheit out of us and we don't do it to them. Fine... we have the largest consumer market, but is that a good reason to get f**ked in the drive-thru?

Tried that call... didn't wanna play ball. Step 2.

Thanks. I appreciate the input.

I'm not a math whiz, either... but 1% of our GDP depends on exports to Canada. It's 18%, at least, for them... and some say it's as much as 43%.

It's refreshing to know you're an economics major as well as a law major.
