Now the report is that Hegseth was leaking the details of the attack two hours before the attack. DNS and Hegseth need to go.

"Israel provided intel on a key Houthi military operative targeted in an attack described in senior Trump officials’ controversial Signal chat, according to two U.S. officials.
"National security adviser Mike Waltz texted about a missile expert seen entering a building that was destroyed. Israel complained privately to the U.S. that the messages became public, one U.S. official said. The Israeli prime minister’s office and Embassy in Washington declined to comment. The National Security Council said that no classified information was included in the thread. The Atlantic magazine disclosed the messages after editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg was included in the chat group, apparently by mistake. Meanwhile, the Justice Department is steering clear of an investigation (🔐 read for free)"

Yes, this is a screw up, they shouldn't have done this and we expect better from our side of the aisle.

Had highest hope for you, of the Trump 6 here to not deflect and redirect.
-They used the wrong communications system.
-They inadvertantly added a reporter.
-They should come clean, own the mistake, it shouldn't have happened, investigate it.
-Explain how it went wrong.

I guess I'll look on the brightside that there hasn't been any .... Sleepy\Pedo\Crooked Joe and the Biden Crime Family, llather, rinse repeat cycle hasn't been offered..... yet.

Maybe they should continue communicating using Signal, always have a reporter on the thread, and add cool emoji's like a fist, and american flag, and an explosion.

However, with the emojis being used, how do we know this is really Walz, vs his account being hacked by a 5th grader?

Then later you can’t keep me and DMV straight, but that’s probably my fault. I am not caught up in a race to tar n feather with blame here before facts are known. But I guess I should have expected 4 years of “forget what we did” and “now this stuff is BAAAAAD!”

All those links FYI were stories the “reporter” that was added made up. So either the Atlantic is all into liars or this guy is a frigging STOOGE. Now if you wanna get led around by the nose sniffing stooge poo by all means. And no I’m not saying he wasn’t added (just in case you have a new side quest in mind).

Walz appearance on Fox was a train wreck. And I still want to know how a guy married to the woman he is, Wong is allowed anywhere near the WH.

The CEO of NPR, Katherine Maher, is one of 5 board members at Signal.

I'll just leave that right there... y'all can come to your own conclusions about who added the dude to the chat.

However, using communications that can so easily be manipulated is not smart, approved or not. Nor is it something to be calling for Hegseth's removal. Pipe down, ffs.

Guidance issuedunder the last admin by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)

(see guidline #1)

https://www.cisa.gov/sites/default/files/2024-12/guidance-mobile-communications-best-practices.pdf

Introduction
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has identified cyber espionage activity by People’s
Republic of China (PRC) government-affiliated threat actors targeting commercial telecommunications
infrastructure. This activity enabled the theft of customer call records and the compromise of private
communications for a limited number of highly targeted individuals. While applicable to all audiences, this
guidance specifically addresses “highly targeted” individuals who are in senior government or senior political
positions and likely to possess information of interest to these threat actors. CISA is releasing this best
practice guidance to promote protections for mobile communications from exploitation by PRC-affiliated and
other malicious cyber threat actors.
Best Practices
CISA strongly urges highly targeted individuals to immediately review and apply the best practices below to
protect mobile communications. Highly targeted individuals should assume that all communications between
mobile devices—including government and personal devices—and internet services are at risk of interception
or manipulation. While no single solution eliminates all risks, implementing these best practices significantly
enhances protection of sensitive communications against government-affiliated and other malicious cyber
actors. Organizations may already have these best practices in place, such as secure communication
platforms1 and multifactor authentication (MFA) policies. In cases where organizations do not, apply the
following best practices to your mobile devices.
General Recommendations
Apply these best practices to your devices and online accounts.
1. Use only end-to-end encrypted communications.
Adopt a free messaging application for secure communications that guarantees end-to-end
encryption, such as Signal or similar apps.
CISA recommends an end-to-end encrypted messaging
app that is compatible with both iPhone and Android operating systems, allowing for text message
interoperability across platforms. Such apps may also offer clients for MacOS, Windows, and Linux,
and sometimes the web. These apps typically support one-on-one text chats, group chats with up to
1,000 participants, and encrypted voice and video calls. Additionally, they may include features
like disappearing messages and images, which can enhance privacy. When selecting an end-to-end
encrypted messaging app, evaluate the extent to which the app and associated services collect
and store metadata.

Won't matter, except it will.

We will all end up suffering as the 1/3rd of the country not blindly Democratic or blindly Trumpian decides with Goal making without Strategy, without thinking about Tactics, regularly blowing up like a Hamas suicide bomber on the Execution, ending in poor results.

Trumpublicans, Republicans (moderate and "soft") are going to end up in the woodshed at the midterms. And you and your bretheran will get all the credit.

Who TF cares about CREDIT? 98.2% of voters were tired of how extreme the commies have gotten. And I no longer care about the opinions of people that think status quo from DC is fine. And the programming of “culture” and screens is ok as long as the jello is green not orange.

What do you SERIOUSLY think was going to come of this specific event? No times or locations. If the POS commie tool that was added was so concerned why didn’t he say “Hey guys, STOP…I shouldn’t be on this”. Why isn’t that mentioned?

For all of your palpable HATE for Cheeto Jesus, he has stood up for his staff over this. He isn’t the problem of this situation. Whoever screwed up adding this dip stick I’d like to see resign. But what is that accomplishing? I get to feel better about something happening I agree with?

Trump hired the guy who added the dipstick.

and the dipstick had the presence of mind to hold off exposing it since there were just a couple hours to go and he didn't know if it was accurate info...but also realized the danger of exposure would mean if it was accurate...something we all should have hoped the participants had thought of as well.

The pilots' outrage is unlikely to be feigned.

We have common ground one item. Progress. I'd feel better if his boss fired him. Everyone makes mistakes, however, there is accountability and he should be held to that.

As to the POS commie tool that was added what if the script was flipped?
A reporter from a right leaning publication gets accidently added by Lloyd Austin and the Biden cabinet in the bombing peep show. They don't use the most secure way of communications (or lets call it Sloppy). Would you expect him to give up his scoop? Not report it?
If it would be reversed, you guys (and I) would be having a field day on how stupid, sloppy and inept the Biden administration is.

And if you believe the degree of information shared on that text thread wasn't a big deal, then next time around they should live stream their text thread to everyone. Like Carl Spackler in the pool scene in Caddyshack as he sniffs the Baby Ruth bar.... It's no big deal. Right?

Two references to "Commies" I'd wonder why, then I remember you live in Oregon, so I can let that one go.
Do you think I'm fine with the DC status quo? Absolutely not.

Maybe I should be happy with his leadership. Afterall....
-The stock market is way up.
-Tariffs are lowering prices and I fully trust Trump's economic accumen to lead us to sunshine; because he's never declared personal bankruptcy (let's not talk about his six businesses that did, because that was because of Sleepy/Crooked/Pedo Joe and the Biden Crime Familiy's fault.)
-Our relationship with NATO as never been stronger.
-The war in Ukraine was over on Day 1 and our new friends the Russians have won.*

*Heard a rumor the administration needs Greenland for national defense against the Russians. More left wing propoganda. The Russians are our new best friends.

Maybe I'm missing the long game here.
Perhaps we need to secure Greenland, so we can get the Russian Navy safe passage through the arctic so we can partner with them and attack those dastardly Canadians on two fronts.

And if we can't achieve that through peaceful means, we could always attack Denmark.
Denmark is in NATO.
An attack on one NATO country is like an attack on all NATO countries.
We are in NATO as well.

................. hmmmmm...... I guess once we attack Denmark, we'd have to attack ourselves as well.

No need to do that. As a society, we are already destroying ourselves.

Now that I work it all out...
