Yeah, because Pete would never lie. He swore up and down he never bet on baseball at all, until it was leaked and he wanted to sell another book. He took a lifetime ban, who takes that plea unless there’s even more damning evidence they promised to keep quiet if he took such plea?

What I won't ever understand is why players who get caught using PEDs aren't banned from baseball for life. Plus they let their tainted records stand.
