I too started off smoking flavored cigars. Like many of you who posted before me, my taste changed and I prefer a full bodied, unflavored cigar. I tried a flavored cigar that a friend raved about as if he owned the company and to me it tasted horrible. Was it? to someone who smokes flavored cigars, I'm sure it was great, but after moving away from flavored cigars more than a year ago, it was not for me. Does that mean flavored cigars are bad? No, they are just not for me anymore.

That's the beauty of choice. We have the choice to choose what we like and not like. Just because someone chooses something that you do not like, doesn"t mean they are any less of a cigar smoker than the next guy (gal)

Happy Holidays!!

Cheez-Whiz? sounds good with an apรฉritif before supper.

for supper, i have been dipping my cigars in foxes ubet or bosco if i can't get the foxes. i never use hershey's. cheap chocolate ruins a good cigar.

by the way, what is the difference between supper and diner?

Hey Heg....my balls are not big, I am not a purist and I consider myself no more of a man than you.

Now go smoke a vanilla petite corona with your appletini! LOL! JK of course.

I for one, normally enjoy being smoked under the table. However, due to scheduling conflicts and the demands of my public, I find it necessary to decline the generous offer tendered by hegemonic.

Merry friggin Christmas,
C'mon folks whats the deal with flavored cigar bashin? Some of us like strong, some like bold, some mild, amd some medium. Every time I read a review and it says with a hint of "" whether it be leather, coffee, fruit, wood, liquor, they are all flavored to a degree, and those who smoke the cherry or the vanilla are cigarsmoking brothers and sisters. I even have a friend who loves the Optimos and the sweets. handmade? no-- exotic and longfiller? no--- but he truly enjoys smoking them. I even like and smoke many of the backwood smokes aromatic. my favorite? no but a quick cheap smoke.
I say "smoke em if you have em no matter what flavor they are" and MERRY CHRISTMAS guys and gals ๐Ÿ˜‰

PS should I put my cigars in the humidor with or without the wrappers.

Do they make a sasafrass flavored or honeydew flavored cigar? Those would be really sweet little things to enjoy after a 26 oz Porterhouse........real manly flavors!!!

Others would be blueberry, tangerine, sweet apple and maybe bubblegum!

LMAO at all of the "flavored" cigars! If you like em, smoke em!

I don't ... just tried a couple of the lines once. Haven't bought them since, because they weren't suited to my tastes.

...gave most of them away ...

i have a hunch that the reason we all hate flavored is that they are usually $hitty cigars. Now maybe if you took a GOOD cigar, and added a flavor that complements the tobacco....MAYBE it would be good.

I tried a cojimor (sp) and it seemed well made. I would say I am still a newbie but does anyone have a list of well made flavored cigars?

I'm glad I could start such a good conversation. I don't join in on the conversations much. I have to say though that I was just tired of people putting down a flavored cigar because it has flavor. I pride myself in pretty much liking everything except extremely stron cigars. So I just wanted people to think about their opinion on the issue a little more. I didn't want people to start using the "F" word about this topic. It is also interesting that someone described a "flavored" cigar as smelling bad and making them feel ill. I've never heard someone say that. Most of the time when someone said a cigar made them feel bad when they smelled it, the cigar was ultra strong. Well the last thing I'm going to add to this topic is for all of the people who have been reading along...Smoke a jamaican platinum rum or vanilla if you like flavored cigars. I have not found their equal.
