As a Charger fan, and a Raider Hater, naturally I'm disappointed --- but have to give kudos to Gannon -- who has done one hell of a job this season. Leading a team of geriatrics (now on the verge of signing Deon Sanders === Al Davis is proving he has no portion of his mind left) to division champion is quite a feat.

justforfun, Thanks for giving Gannon the recognition he deserves. You are right. A bunch of older guys are taking care of business! Probably the last year they will, with this group of vets.
Sorry about your Chargers, I didnt want them to win but it sure looked like they were going to. I watched the game until about the 2min warning then the DAMN TV station switched games! I wanted to see the end and didnt get to. Well, Merry Chistmas & Go Raiders!

As a member of the Raider nation all I can say is YEAAA BABEEEEE!!!!

Mag- You hit it on the head. This has to be our year cause after this year is over, we are losing a lot of people because of the salary cap.

Rich Gannon- Unanimous MVP!!

(singing) "I GOT A FEELING... RAIDERS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL".

Mag, congrats, from the main Chiefs fan, but wait till next year, when we find a defense!

Ducati, I can appreciate your enthusiasm. But Rich Gannon has had a better season than Farve. Wins dont tell the whole story. He has a chance to break Marino's yardage record. He broke the record for most 300yd games in a season. He broke the completions per season record. He has other stats that are remarkable but I wont bring those up and bore you any more. He has done all this with what may have been one of the toughest schedules in the league. Not a sissy schedule like Farve had this season. I know,I know its not Farves fault about the schedule. But its a DREAM SCHEDULE !!! Farve vs Gannon ? No brainer this season.
You should take a look at some stats before you ramble on about Fart, Im sorry I mean Farve. If you are so confident, lets bet a stogie on it !! I'm Ready are You! Go Raiders!!!!

Of the quarterbacks, yes, Gannon has had the year this season!! However, I will argue all day long for Priest Holmes to win MVP!

Oh, and I am a big fan of Farve!! He is the best!!! This is not an MVP year for him!

Ducati, just curious, how old are you? I'm not trying to be funny here or rude, but it feels like I'm dealing with a kid. If you want to bet, fine, but why dont you post a freakin paragraph for a change, instead of the lame 1 liners you do?
Now to business. If I win I'll take a 5-pack of Padron Annaversarios Cameroons. Any size will do. Do you agree with betting on which team goes the farthest in the playoffs? Tie breaker of course the Superbowl.

Figured I would throw this in. Gannon has been Pro Bowl MVP 2 years running! Good chance he can get 3 in a row!
Gannon's QB rating in last 3 yrs 92.4, 95.5, 97.5(2002)
Favre's QB rating in last 3 yrs 78.0, 94.1, 87.1(2002)
This isnt smack talk! These are facts! Look them up on NFL.com . Gannon is older, and outplayed the younger Favre the last 3 seasons. You can talk your 1 line bullcrap but I dont. Im a stat and research type of guy.

You are in over your head. Just like the Packers!

I went to the game. Brought my 10 year old daughter. She had a blast...a lot of people in our section (just above the black hole) seemed to have brought their kids. Everyone maintained their language and we had a good time.

She asked me why that big guy number 53 (Romanowski) hates that guy wearing number 84. I said "Shannon Sharpe?" She said, "Yeah...everytime he gets the football, that Romanowski guy knocks him out." (this was after Romanowski's 4th or 5th hard hit on Sharpe, just prior to Shannon's actual K.O.)
We had a good laugh at that one.

She later asked if the Broncos had enough people on their team. I asked why. She said she was worried that if everyone that got hurt couldn't play, they would run out of players and we would have to leave early.

I am proud of my little Raider fan. She got a taste of the Raiders I got to see when I went to my first game in 1967.

Judging from what I saw, I think the Bronco's locker room ran out of ice and tylenol pretty fast.

Good luck to the Raiders. A lot of these "old timers" have paid their dues but have never won a superbowl. I think the Raiders have the right kind of hunger and desire. Hell, bring on Deion...he might be a little rusty but he can join the party if he wants.

You are asking me how old in am? I must say you are creative in your insults. I am 36. Sorry, I can not get the cigars you suggest in the Green Bay area, we are not as privileged up here in the north woods, as you in sunny California. But now that you are pandering down to us in the lower class with your snobbish selection of sticks, I will see what is available. Yes, I am only a lowly engineer at a capital equipment manufacturer, but I will see what I can do. As far as one liners, it is easy to state my point without all the mindless clutter you insist on including on your posts. I ask again, "if you were starting a team, whom would be the first person you would choose"? Remember now, Brett has never missed a day of work in his 10 year career here in Green Bay. He has also never lost a game when the temperature is below 38 degrees. For those who don't know, that is above the low temperature for almost half the year here in Wisconsin. Is this paragraph long enough yet??
