Saturday afternoon I helped my best friend host an '80's rock n' roll birthday party for her daughter's 10th birthday. It was a lot of fun!

Pac, haven't you ever seen the gothish picture I posted? Black eyeliner will do that to a girl.

It doesn't show up on the picture, but I have on a ton of black eyeshadow, frosted pink lipstick, and glitter. I also have blue fingernails. Kelly and I were jumping around lip sincing to '80's tunes. We also shot a video with the girls. And made a pact to go out some night to a club playing '80's music and get silly, because it was way too much fun!

Not yet, Andy. Rug's oldest is 19 today, and Kelly's oldest will be 20 in November, so the possibility of grannyhood is looming. Hopefully not for at least five years!

My wife, who has a son who is grown and long ago out of the house, is a grandmother 3 times over. First one came when her son was only 18 or 19, and it was a while before we used the word "grandmother" at all...kind of an unspoken rule that I just shouldn't say it. Now she's comfortable with it, but her son is 31.

Still...even as a grandmother 3 times over, she still likes to rock. We've even been to Ozzfest each of the last two years. So I say, rock on and enjoy yourself.
