So do most of you slow down when it gets cold? Do you try to smoke in your cars because of the weather?

if you mean slow down my smokin, no. i sit here at home with a mundivictor boheme in my mouth as i smoke my last cigar of the day and get ready for sleep.

i don't really understand why someone should slow down because it is cold.

The cause for the slow down Rick is called frostbite.

Yeah, but only because I'm not playing golf. I smoke in my car no matter what the weather is like.

I smoke in any room in my home I want too, but I don't smoke in the outhouse because it's hard to read my Sears+Roebuck catalog. JonR

It's only "winter" in Phoenix, Arizona from about midnight to 9am in the morning for almost everyone. Personally, I've not taken my jacket out of the closet so far. In fact, I think it's been in there the last three years with the exception of going up to the mountains north of Phoenix. Can you picture 68-72 degree weather, you're in shorts and short sleeves at 9pm, on the back patio. You've given a nice guillotine cut to that Bucanero Classic Maduro churchill you've had aging since Thanksgiving. Despite just that amount of time in the humi, plume is all over that baby like if you stuck it in the sugar bowl. You toast the foot, light it and savor. Your left eye begins to twitch and your mouth gets crooked as you reach for your aged rum and yell ARRRGGHHHHHHH!! MATEY!! 'TIS a good cigarrrrrrrr!!! (the dog looks over with a cocked head and quickly runs through the doggie door!)

I bought a little heater for my garage area. I turn it on for about an hour, then go enjoy a smoke.

Rick has a distinct advantage over most of us Married Guys, he can smoke in his house!! I cut back when it gets really cold in Southern California! It is not that cold that often, but it can get in the 40's and 50's here!

Yes. I have to smoke in the garage which is not insulated. When it is below 0 outside it is mighty cold in the garage even with a space heater. It is just really hard to enjoy a great cigar when you are shivering. But I find that its a good time to smoke those less then great cigars I have amassed. That way if I get so cold I need to go in and don't feel bad for leaving half the stick unsmoked.

That is true. And if you have all your clothes on, I mean all the clothes you own on, and there is no wind blowing, it's not that bad.
40's and 50's? Ha!!!!

Gotta love Chicago weather! Tonight it will be -3 and tomorrow it will be something like 80 and sunny (j/k)I just went to a friends house and he has one of those portable propane heaters. We put it in the garage, fired it up and voila, instant heat. I tried my first Hendrik Kelner 2nds. The taste was there but it was rolled VERY loose. Guess thats why it was a 2nd. Every thing was fine untill I burned a hole in the bottom of my jacket on the heater. All I needed was some Jameson straight up and I could have looked past the burned jacket

Woman That I Love doesn't fuss over my cigars coming inside for the winter. I just smoke robustos when she's home and save the Churchills for when she's at work. I use a smoke-eater, candles, and make sure to get the stub out the house as soon as I'm finish. Very hard to tell I smoke indoors in the winter. I travel a lot for work, often for 3 or 4 hours at a time, so I can puff to my heart's content while mobile.

I cut back in the southeast Texas cold. I find it hard to smoke with shoes on.

I limit my consumption to please my wife. She is a good woman who is worried I will contract emphysyma and pitch over dead onto my work bench one day. I can't fault her for loving me too much! I rarely smoke when it is lower than 50 deg. Fortunately, in west TN the cold period is short. And the rare nice day makes that smoke so extra special!
