While I have yet to see one I hear bobcats are making quite the comeback in So Mo and IL. Not sure if I would kill one or not. When I was a little kid we used to hear them at my grandmother's throughout the night. That was down on the MO AR border.

A few years ago bobcats were removed from Illinois' list of state threatened species. They claim there are a couple thousand in So IL and more in MO.

Hope you are proud of yourself.....that was a beautiful animal, now you are going to desecrate it with some stuffed pose I suppose!

grmcooper - Great kill! If you don't mount it I will! I have heard them in the woods at night, but I have not seen any yet. I did have a foam deer target that got tore to shreds one night in my backyard. I'm thinking that one of these had something to do with it.

Everyone looks at things differently but that just makes me sad. A critter has to be doing some pretty bad stuff before I'm going to kill it if I can't/won't eat it. And I am a hunter as well.

I love those wild cats. Seems kind of like killing a hawk or an eagle. Never have liked the idea of killing other predators. We have too much in common.

Hey if I saw one in the wild I wouldn't shoot it either but if I saw it on my property it's a dead cat period.
