Uhhh...I wouldn't call you an inbred redneck for shooting an oppossum, but eating one, hmmm. (just kidding man, what do those things taste like?)

I was patroling a residential area one foggy night with a rookie. We saw this house cat following a big 'possum down the middle of the street. the 'possum would stop and look over his shoulder as if daring the cat to pounce
The cat was very cautious in approaching the big fella
I told the rookie "look at that cat,he don't know whether to fight it, f*%k it or forget it"
The rookie nearly fell out of the car laughing
The things that strike you funny at 4 o'clock working the midnight shift

Don't think I could enjoy Possum as table fare.

If you want a good laugh...get fishinguitarman to tell you about the breakfast we had at his cabin. It was Biscuits and Hare.(there is a story to go along with it)

Possum booth draws crowds at N. Kentucky's Oktoberfest
Kentucky's most popular cuisine stayed in high demand this year at Kentucky's Oktoberfest celebration. When the annual World's Largest Possum Dance came to an end, most Oktoberfest revelers made their way to the possum booth. Preliminary sales figures indicate Spicy Possum Nuggets were the biggest seller this year followed by Possum on a Stick and Extreme Possum Fajitas. Covington officials say the growing popularity of possum is prompting the region to consider organizing Kentucky's first Possumfest next year at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

Forget the sweet potatoes, go with pasta.

Spaghetti stuffed possum. Prepare some just in time for the Sopranos.
