What cigar is currently overlooked but will soon rise in popularity?

That's a tough one. I would've said the La Aroma de Cuba but now they are getting a following. I've always thought the El Rico Habano was a sleeper smoke and best bang for the buck. I still believe however that Bucanero has a long successful future as the momentum builds. It's slow in coming but this brand will be a household name IMHO.

I agree with the el rico's, excellent smoke. My pick would be the mayorga's. I have yet to try the high octane but the regular line ranks right up there with the padrons and at a half the price.

Am watching the buzz on La Flor Domincana ligero series. Haven't tried one yet, but got some coming.

The LFD Ligero's I have tasted young and too strong. I've got them aging to see if this mellows them out. X

X, I found the same with the Antanos 1970 IMHO. They are tasty but need some time in the humi.

The Joya de Nics Antanos 1970 are f---ing dynamite! Great cigar! Most robust mother I have ever tried. Spicy and strong.

2nd the motion, X and JD. I just finished a JdN Antaño. That is a reak kickass cigar. Held my interest the whole way and didn't know how buzzed I was getting til it was too late. Peppery and tasty, but with a sharp edge that I trust time will take care of. Highly recommended.

Agree with alsant. Hard to find a bad Perdomo.

Also another sleeper is Industrial Press. These can be gotten at a steal on Cbid. Few seem to have discovered what a great smoke these really are. If the overbidders find out about these I'm ruined.

Hope I haven't let the cat out of the bag.

I'd also add the Occidental Havana Sun Grown. I bought my first box for $40 and my second for $49. The bids on these steadily go up as people realize how good they are.

Guys, the Ligero's have been around a LOT longer than most give them credit for!

This is the cigar that probably ruined the CAO Criollo for my tastebuds! Why plunk down 7-8 bucks for that when you can get this one for 4.50!!!!

I just had a La Perla Habana Maduro last night. It was GREAT! Got the 4 size sampler and started with the Toro. I'm gonna let at least 2 sleep it the 'dor for a while. Probably give one to my friend first chance I see him.

I was reading this post and realized that I had purchased (some time back) a five pack of double maduro mayorga's churchills. Finally found them, fired one up five minutes ago and I must say - it is awesome. Of course, the one that I am smoking is covered with plum so I am sure that enhances the flavor. I Also agree with jreddoch about the OCC's. Awesome!

Haven't tried one myself but I keep hearing good things about the Trilogy Maduro's. Got one in the box. Maybe I can get to it this weekend.
