The herf finally happened. It was well worht the wait. I had never went to a cigar herf but if the ones I attend in the future are 1/2 as good as this was I will be over joyed.
I don't want to miss anyone so I will just thank the whole CI family for hosting the event. You guys and gal are great people. You made everyone feel welcome into your family. I can't thank you enough for everything.
We started witha tour of the CI warehouse, got some freebies and hung out at a local bar. It started at 2pm sharp and wound down around 10 pm or so.
Of course it was great meeting the guys from the board. Meeting these guys proved a point that people post on this site. The people from this site are really nice people. I hope I made some new friends, I think I did.
We plan on doing this again. not sure when. I hope to meet more people from the board next time around.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forgive me for yelling, but that's all I can think of to say. You Left Coasters may not have to stand outside in the snow to enjoy your smokes, but we have CI and CB right here in our back yard. If you think these folks are nice in e-mails and on the phone, you better hope that once in your lifetime, before you take that long dirt nap and go to that great tobacco field in the sky, you get to to make the pilgramage to Mecca, oops, I mean Monacacy Street. I don't know if it's the cigar experience that makes the people nice, or nice people make the cigar experience nice, but everyone at the herf was incredible. It was very clear the CI/CB family really enjoy their work. I'm sure they don't love each other every day, but if the norm is half as good as what I saw, I only wish my office was the same. The board guys and a couple of local CI customers were great also. To say the group was eclectic is somewhat of an understatement. We ranged in age from mid tweenty to nearly 60. There were truck drivers, computer programers, cops, and even a couple of narcs. Everyone enjoyed each others company, bound by our common love of the leaf. We talked a lot about cigars, which was why we were there in the first place. I personally only regret I didn't get to learn more about everyones life, I hope to correct that the next time. I almost forgot Mark the rep from General Tobacco, thank you also.

Well, I'm sure others have something to say about yesterday so I'll shut my yap. Thanks again to all.

I forgot to give a special thanks to Ropeman who got the thing started in the first place, and also brought along a couple of boxes of gars for the party. Also Steve, for organizing the CI side. Thanks again.

qball, Thanks for coming. I was glad to meet you and I hope , no I know, you will be at the next herf we have. Like I said before , I hope we can get more people from the boards to come out next time. Because once you meet the people from CI and see how nice they really are, you feel even better buying from this company.

It was a great time indeed. It was a lot of fun meeting everybody, and I would like to thank you all for coming out to enjoy the day with us. I hope you all had as much fun as we did. I am definitely looking forward to the next Bethlehem HERF. Until then, lemme know what you think of those prototypes!

Gotta say the Herf was Great !!! Well worth the 1-1/2 hr. drive!! Thanks go out to Keith, Gonz, Mike, Steve, Trish and any other CB/CI employees that took part in the Herf!! The people of CI/CB are all really great. It's nice to put a face along with the name. It was also nice to finally meet people from the boards that you have spoken to over time. Everyone seemed to get along fine and the conversations were great!!

Hope this becomes a regular event... I'll be there again!!

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in as well. It went really well and although the rep from Drew Estate did not make it his apology sounded very sincere. He just returned from Nicaragua and must have caught a bug down there as he was sick as a dog.

Thanks for all your kind words, I had a ton of fun and it was nice to meet alot of ya'll. If only I had known the food was on the house as well as the drinks for the first hour and I could have pigged out.

What do you guys think of having an outdoor herf at a local park? Once the weather warms I can reserve a pavilion and apply for an alcohol permit.
