Ahhh The great End of the week smoke fest..Started off with a Astral Favorito for fun, moved to a Colorado Don Lino Churchill for a little spice and finished with a smooth Onyx Vintage ESCEPCIONALE. Productive night I would say. Still a few hours till sunrise 🙂

kaikai1102 --- probably my fault, for posting the source at a cigar fourm ... LOL!

I was hoping that wouldn't happen ... but I should have known better.

Next time I make a rare find like that, I'm going to give out the source by email only ... if that will make a difference ... LOL!

I enjoyed one of the Savinelli seconds that finally arrived today. Very, very nice! These seconds beat out many firsts IMHO.

I wanted to try one of the Punch cigars that were recommended here, but the cigar bar only had the Rothschild...

...so I went to an AF Hemi Best Seller.

I still like the Short Story or the Classic better.

The draw wasn't that terrific on this particular Best Seller.

As soon as I find my camera's battery charger, I'll post a pic of what a friend gifted Mike and I with at the cigar bar.

Probably will smoke them tonight....

Hint: ISOM
;)

E-Chick - I was terribly excited for a fleeding moment...Could not find the pic!

Regarding CA and their evaluation of cigars, in one word BS...I have not agreed with many of thier evaluations and probably won't agree with this one either. The absolute fav Habana cigar for me is the "Montecristo Number 2" and trust me when I say that I have smoked a lot of Cubans. The second would have to be Vegas Robania, followed (closely by) Bolivars Number 2 turbo.

Okay, my 2 cents.

eleltea --- I guess you didn't do your homework before you posted your comment ...

Perhaps Cuba's greatest cigar. The Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona is a benchmark for the cigar world. It is gorgeous and smokes like a dream. The aromas and flavors are incredibly distinctive and reminiscent of chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon.

It was rated 99 in the Dec 01, 1992 issue ...

Nope, not a HdM...

Maybe the gifter was blowing smoke up our...well you know...but a 99 is what he told me.

And I did submit the pic...it's just not posted yet...

My bad ... I completely missed the 'non' part ...

I was referring to the only Cuban cigar (as E-Chick said it was an ISOM) rated 99 by CA was the Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona ...

Since E-Chick said the the cigar gifted to her was a Cuban that was rated 99 by CA ... his post, "CA never rated a non-isom that high" through me for a loop ...

... just having a 'senior moment' ... LOL!
