Watched about 20 minutes of it last night. Just wasn't my thing. He has some decent songs but movie didn't hold my interest.

I moved from Michigan in 2000. The whole Detroit metro area is known by it's mile roads. The hub is downtown and it goes north from there. The 8 mile area is nothing but vermin and tittie bars. Eminem is so typical of that area. When I saw the title for that movie, I busted out laughing! Anyone that's ever been to Detroit knows what a joke that road is.

I wouldn't waste my time, money or energy with anything associated with this "musician"!

Eminem, party of one...your 15 minutes of fame is over...see you on "Behind the music"!!!!

I saw it. I thought it was good. Although I thought it was going to be about his life and how he got in the music industry. It was a little anti climatic that the whole movie just lead up to one battle in a club.

I thought Eminem did a good job in it. But then again it was about him growing up so it should have been an easy roll for him.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 6.5. Then again if you aren't a fan of rap music you probably wouldn't like this movie. What did you think Rick?

"I wouldn't waste my time, money or energy with anything associated with this "musician"!" -

you obviously put a lot of time and thought into your detestation of this "musician" that you know nothing about....

My wife and I saw this at the theater and really liked the movie. Whether you like him or not, Eminen is a genious at what he does. Both of us really liked the music, I would have liked to have seen more of his original works in the movie though.

Now to give you a little background on us, we are a white, early thirties couple, and heavily involved in our church. As a matter of fact, nmy wife was a minister at the time we saw this movie. Now she is just working on special projects as her own business gets off the ground.

Tar

I know enough about him, that I don't like him and would not spend the money or time to see his trash.

Now, call me a biggot or something, but why help these trashy bastards send their illicit messages to the American youth.

Its a good movie, worth the time. You shouldn't judge a movie by who is in it, and you shouldn't boycott it because Eminem is in it. The movie has many positive statements in it, hope, dedication, and courage. A lot of kids on the streets need these to better themselves and to stay away from worse crap that get them in trouble. He is the voice of the new generation and he is good. I'm not too big into Rap, I'm a Rock fan myself, but I know his sound is different, new and fresh, which is good for the industry. Evolution continues in every art form, and new sounds and looks are gonna pop up every year. You might not like it, but its the fact of life and I look forward to hearing all those people who strive to create somehting new, something different.

Dr. Maddvibe, he will not dissappear anytime soon, because he is the hottest thing around and he will be around for a while. Eminem is smart and talented so he'll continue his success. His albums are one of the biggest sellers and the 8 mile DVD is one of the fastest selling DVD. He's been around for some time now too. So you should do your homework before you say something about Eminem.

Just my two cents,

realize where the man is comin from...his childhood sucked a lot and, until very recently, most of the political world was against him....

he is, however, a very talented man....how else can you explain repeated hits (can compare to Mr. Ice with the fantastic one hit wonder of his)

The man can rhyme like no one else....he's just puttin the bad side of american society up for everyone to see...

a quote from one of his songs directed at the parents who blame him for their kids problems.." F'in do-gooders, too bad you couldn't do good at parenting"

he's right....its not his fault, people gotta stop blamin prominent figures for the problems with youth....

Yo yo yo ya'all! Oozing with such a positive message, he's bound to be here for a real long time...right! Can you understand the lyrics? Is English a second language for the clowns that like this guy? If it is then I can understand why you like him. Let there be NO doubt where this angry worm is at!

Ah yeah, yo!

This song is dedicated to all the happy people

All the happy people who have real nice lives

And who have no idea whats it like to be broke as ****

Verse One:

I feel like I'm walking a tight rope, without a circus net

I'm popping perkasets, I'm a nervous wreck

I deserve respect; but I work a sweat for this worthless check

Bout to burst this tech, at somebody to reverse this debt

Minimum wage got my adrenaline caged

Full of venom and rage

Especially when I'm engaged

And my daughter's down to her last diaper

That's got my ass hyper

I pray that god answers, maybe I'll ask nicer

Watching ballers while they flossing in their pathfinders

These overnight stars becoming autograph signers

We'll all gone blow up and leave the past behind us

Along with the small fry's and average half pinters

While playa haters turn bitch like they have vaginas

Cause we see them dollar signs and let the cash blind us

Money will brainwash you and leave your ass mindless

Snakes slither in the grass spineless

Chorus: repeat 2X

That's Rock Bottom

When this life makes you mad enough to kill

That's Rock Bottom

When you want something bad enough you'll steal

That's Rock Bottom

When you feel you have had it up to here

Cause you mad enough to scream but you sad enough to tear

Verse Two:

My life is full of empty promises

And broken dreams

I'm hoping things will look up

But there ain't no job openings

I feel discouraged hungry and malnourished

Living in this house with no furnace, unfurnished

And I'm sick of working dead end jobs with lame pay

And I'm tired of being hired and fired the same day

But **** it, if you know the rules to the game play

Cause when we die we know were all going the same way

It's cool to be player, but it sucks to be the fan

When all you need is bucks to be the man

Plus a luxury sedan

Too comfortable and roomy in a six

They threw me in the mix

With all these gloomy lunatics

Walk around depressed

And smoke a pound of ses a day

And yesterday went by so quick it seems like it was just today

My daughter wants to throw the ball but I'm too stressed to play

Live half my life and throw the rest away

Chorus

There's people that love me and people that hate me

But it's the evil that made me this backstabbing, deceitful, and shady

I want the money, the women, the fortune, and the fame

That Means I'll end up burning in hell scorching in flames

That means I'm stealing your checkbook and forging your name

Lifetime bliss for eternal torture and pain

Right now I feel like just hit the rock bottom

I got problems now everybody on my blocks got 'em

I'm screaming like those two cops when 2pac shot 'em

Holding two glocks, I hope your doors got new locks on 'em

My daughter's feet ain't got no shoes or sock's on 'em

And them rings you wearing look like they got a few rocks on 'em

And while you flaunting them I could be taking them to shops to pawn them

I got a couple of rings and a brand new watch you want 'em?

Cause I never went gold of one song

I'm running up on someone's lawns with guns drawn

Chorus

Like I said, if you're from that area then you KNOW exacatly where this is coming from. "Yeah, I want my kids to grow up to be like him! He's what I can never be." If you think that this clown is so great, then please explain why this guy is filled with such rage. There's no hidden messages, no double entendres, this guy spews his hate to anyone and everyone and it's sad that it sells the way it does. How many words can you say with nursery rhyme-like childish syntaxes and still be cute while saying ****,rape and kill?

Good lyracists are like good novelists. They tell stories that people find interesting and want to hear. They don't always have possitive messages in them.

I bet you I can find plenty of books that have been in the best seller categories Dr. that have ****, rape, and kill in them.

I think Eminem is a great lyracist. Do I like the stories he tells? Not all of them. Some I don't like. But then I've never found an author where I liked every book they've written. There are even some authors books that I don't like any of. Doesn't mean they are bad. Just means they aren't for me.
