A friend gave me about 6 Anillo De Oro Torito's last week. I really enjoyed the flavor,what I could get out of it. The problem was the draw (And I tried all of them, my friend also had the same problem). I have never experienced anything like this. Is there anyway to improve the draw on a cigar? I almost broke my jaw trying to get a puff. Does anyone know any other brands with the same problem? I sure dont want to get stuck with any.

Often this is a problem with the way they are rolled. Try removing the wrapper and re-rolling it.

Good recommendation Bill, but I would hire an experienced roller to reroll the cigars. Might also want to add some Prince Albert tobacco to bring out the flavor. Just a thought 🙂

You can't do anything about a tight draw, that 's just the way it was rolled. Only in a pinch will I take a thin wooden match and very carefully push a small hole from the foot to the head of the cigar. Make sure its centered carefully so as not to bust out the side of the wrapper Sometimes even halfway will do. If I don't want to just throw away a good cigar I try that first. There is also an item called a "Draw Poker" that basically does the same thing.....Brent

I find that rolling the cigar under your foot on the garage floor seems to help.

Draw poker works o.k. another solution is to cut the cigar in half. I know this is a drastic measure but unfortunately necessary. Usually a plugged cigar will only irritate you so if the cut does'nt work then pitch it.

The drawpoker works decent. But you must get it at Thompson's however which is a bad word.

The problem is not with the cigar, but with your technique. Try to imagine that the cigar is your boss during review time...
