I was trying to come up with good excuses for Momma to let me smoke inside. Not much success, so it looks like either the shop or outside. 🙂
Anyone else have the same problem?

I wouldn't want my house to smell like week old cigar smoke, however my home office is all wood, no carpet or apolsterd furniture, so I do it in there occationally and leave the window open of course. Plus got kids.

Yep, know the feeling.
My boys don't care for the smell of the cigars, Momma won't let me either.
I need to build an office room that is just mine. 🙂
She says that is what ths shop is for, but need to have it better arranged for the desk, computer and heat. No heat, I don't stay in the shop too long in the damp, wet winters.

I'm in Oregon. It rains all the time. [not much of an exageration]
a few years back (think it was 99), we had 100 straight days of precipitation of one kind or another.
Combine it with extreme winds all winter long and it gets the water everywhere. Needless to say, mildew and rot is a problem.
After the first 2 months, you kind of get to a point where you hate the rain. After that, you just resign yourself to the fact that you are going to get wet. 🙂

I tried smoking in my truck a few times, and based on the way it smelled the next morning, I would never even consider smoking in the house. Unless my wife was out of town for a few days . . .

Easy! You make a big show of getting a magazine and going to the bathroom. While in there you turn the fan on and quietly light a cigar. Great cover! Magazine signals you will be there a long time, fan masks any puffing noises as well as sucking the smoke out, and two hours later, if questioned, just say, "almost finished."

If the above doesn't work, you can always go to your smoke-friendly bar and pout while you nurse a cigar and the potable of your choice!

No smoke friendly bars here.
I just go for long walks in the woods. 🙂
