I was going through some of my sports collection. I saw this ball and wondered....did any of you like the XFL? I did, but I guess I was in the minority.

I was warming up to it myself. I kinda hoped they would have gone with the 2nd season. It probably would have improved after learning things from the first season.

I went to one SF Demons game with about 7 other friends...we had a blast! Thats when I got this ball.

Did any of you see a game in person? What did you think? I thought the TV angles of the game were cool...how bout you?

This Slamball could have legs though. I stuck through Arena football, but am now tired of it and ready for something more...physical?!? This comes in at the wrong time though. If it were me, I'd ring the death knell with this sport opening right with Baseball season! That's a sport that is just too damn long! After the strikes and Pete Rose stuff I probably watch 3-8 games a year. I'll NEVER watch another World Series.

Could be fun!

Vince McMahon has to be one of the ballsiest businessmen I've ever seen. I thought his XFL concept was pretty good. I only watched the first game. Never really had the time to follow it after that. He's a pretty innovative guy.

No matter how much potential the XFL had, it would have never competed with the tradition/history of the NFL. Same thing would have happened if he would have tried to start his own baseball league.

McMahon's other problem is that he despises egos. I think he respects them, but he will deliberately crush anyone who tries to step up to him -- even at the expense of the company. For that reason alone, he would have never been able to co-exist with any of the talent and egos that runs rampant in the NFL. You would need to have some sort of management buffer between him and the talent. Someone that didnt come from a pro-wrestling background.

Where is that fence. Seeing it only on TV, I just think they "dumbed it up" in hopes to make it more appealing, which did not work.
I'm sure the games live were much improved over what I saw on the tube.

I live in Las Vegas, and caught a couple of games here. Took the whole family, and we had a great time. The cheerleaders were entertaining, and the games were exciting. Remember 'HE HATE ME'?

The games in person were a blast! We didnt really know what to expect, but it was fun! I did see 'HE HATE ME' play. He is in the NFL now. I cant remember his real name though.

The 'SF Demons' played at 'Pac Bell Park'. How can you not have a good time there?.... :>)
