any of you all run into any Lately???

the Wife and I and the Kid were on our way down to drop the kid off to her dad's tonight.. it was around 5 pm so I guess you could call it 5 O Clock Road Rage... anyways I just passed a couple cars on the left... and instead of getting over right away I was day dreaming listening to the wife and kid talk about what happened in School today... anyways Some SOB comes flying up on me Right on the Back Bumper of the truck.. Swerves cutting over in the center lane on the highway speeds up to the passenger door to the truck and then starts Verbaging and tossing his hands in a fist motion... I started LMFAO at him... the wife looked at me then she looked over at him only at this time he takes off on up the highway... I'm still laughing and then I go to telling the two of them what he just did.. I said what an ****... bout that time he slows down kinda swerves to the left then right staying in our lane in front of me... so I put both hands up on the Wheel and then knowing he's Gawking in his rear view mirror... I make the hand motion with both hands to Come on down!!! He could have been the next Contestent on this Aint your Day" so he hits the breaks tossing his arms up in the air and pulling off the should of the road still moving about 60-65 mph I hit the Breaks and start heading off the shoulder also to see whats on his mind and my Wife Starts Telling Me No!! don't do it... No ... didn't matter when he seen I was going to pull off also... he spead up and took off on up the highway... I couldn't catch him and I let off when I was running 85... I slowed back down to 72 and he was bookin... he was out of sight way the hell up the highway and never seen em again... the Wife is telling me I gotta stop doin that **** because there's some crazy's out there and I ain't gunna know if they might have a gun or not...

I told her to relax... I ain't been in a scrap in awhile and the way things been goin lately if anything would have broke out the poor **** would be reaping all my Frustrations I've had with things going on in my life... So in a Sence she was Right... it's always good to have a good woman around to say I told ya so!!!
LMAO!!!!

Be careful, man. When I lived outside of Wash D.C. back in the 90's, the news had stories for a month or so of the same type of rage, except people were shooting at each other. I don't think they ever caught anybody either. You just never know when you might run into that one Michael Douglas character. It's not worth it.

Hog, you made 2 very key points...
1. Wife
2. Kid
I know when the blood flows it is tough but they are what's important.

A very large percentage of people carry concealed handguns in Texas and it seems like a couple times every month somebody gets shot in exactly the scenario you described. If you approach them with the threat of violence they're likely to receive a lenient sentence via the "self defense" plea.
I get pretty angry on the road sometimes too, but it just isn't worth it.

It's happened quite a few times here in Phoenix. People just flat out shoot each other over something as petty as road rage. One muscle-bound freak on steroids actually beat a man to death in a grocery store parking lot. His wife and son in the car....Glad you are OK Hog and special thanks to Mrs. Hog.

I have seen road rage in several stages during the few years I drove a semi. I sit in a traffic jam for over 4 hours in the middle of the desert due to the fact that someone got pissed off and ran a family off the road killing everyone of them. It was a horrible scene. Just one of many scenes I encoutered. It's not worth risking your life over something so stupid. Life is too precious.

I just told Hog....Hey, you do this and something happens and I might end up the sole proprietor of the walk in humidor!! LMAO!! JK.

At 30 I was more aggressive, at 44 I've mellowed considerably. I try to avoid it, it's too easy to get shot these days. Sorry to hear about your incident.

I had an incident of road rage in the mid 80's in Houston. A guy cut me off a ran me on the shoulder. I sped up and got even with him and flipped him off and gave him some high "expletives deleted". He reached into his seat and then leveled a 44 mag pistol at me. I slammed on my brakes, nearly getting hit from behind in the process and have never lost control since then. Guns pointed at you tend to have a lifetime sobering effect on your machismo. 🙂

I had an incident, several years ago, early 1980's to be exact. Coming home from softball practice, I accidently pulled out in front of this guy in a big 4-wheel drive truck, scared the bejesus out of me, I waved and mouthed I'm Sorry, in his direction, and drove on towards home. As I neared my exit, I noticed the truck was still behind me, and the driver was kind of glaring at me. I contined toward my house, and he followed. After making sure he was following me I went by one of my teammates houses, where an after practice party was going on, pulled up in the driveway and walked to the door. The truck pulled in the driveway, and this big sucker got out, yelling that he was going to kick my ass. I got a huge laugh when the patrol car pulled in behind him, blocking his escape, and my teammate got out and arrested him for drunken driving, and threatening bodily harm. It sure is nice having police officers as friends. LOL
