Facts
Donovan Mc Nabb has not done a good job as eagles qb this year
Marty Morninwig who sucked for the lions last year is calling the plays
None the less Mc Nabb is way overrated. Some one else did this act earlier an WAY better Steve Young. but they have to say something to fill air time
Facts
Rush Limbaugh in his "act" broaodcasts coded racist remarks, he may be a racist only he knows ironinaclly what he said was true... but not for the reasons stated...
Rush is also an coward, hippocrit and a druggie. he should do time just like all the other crack heads and clean up in jail...even though they are presciption, he aquired the drugs illegally

Ditto heads follow an ideolgy, doctrine, philosphy or religion that shouldn't be blindly or COVIENIENTLY follwed by other men. Rush like most of us does not practice what he preaches
And last but not least he is fat, wears makeup and has man-boobs that will hang and jiggle while he bends over to clean tile grout or floors with a tooth brush

Duck, you obviously dont listen to rush. For one, most drug busts dont land the criminal in jail unless there is a previous record. You usually get drug diversion first.
Second explain to me why he is a coward. Its easy for you to sit there and say that without an example, lets see one.
Next, when was the last time you saw a picture of Rush? He hasnt been fat for a few years now. This is what shows me that you dont know what you are talking about and are just a Rush hater. Get your facts strait, before spouting off about someone you OBVIOUSLY arent familiar with.

One last thing. All people on TV wear makeup. No exceptions, except atheletes.

Well Mag,
Some atheletes wear makeup, as well.
Seen the NBA in the last couple of years?? ROTFLMAO
If Rush was acquiring his drugs, illegally, his drug treatment, may become court mandated, if it isn't already, behind the scenes. Having been through drug treatment myself, I know how hard it is, I am still an addict, even though I haven't touched cocaine, since March 15th 1984, as a matter of fact, I attribute, part of my recovery, to good cigars, and a change of enviroment. Treatment, if successful, will be no walk in the park. You will notice a change in his politics, as he will have to admit that a substance, has had, and still does, have control of his life. He really has to believe this to be a fact, to successfully recover. It can be a huge blow to the ego, which Rush, has an overabundance of. We will see,
If he comes out of treatment, unchanged, I garuntee, that treatment was just a ploy to take the heat off, and he's probably still popping pills.

If he actually admitted himself into an 'in house' recovery facility. Then he wont be popping anything. If its an outpatient recovery, well, then you could be right.

In his press release, it stated that he would be gone, for 30 days, the usual "in-house treatment" period. He then would be released into either a halfway house, if court mandated, or back into his life, if not. Here is where relapse usually occurs. People leave rehab, and go right back into the same enviroment that they left. It is easy to relapse under those conditions. I moved from a city, to backwoods Arkansas, where I knew noone, and have had zero contact, except for family, with anyone from my past. I don't think Rush, with his career, has the same options that I did. For him, he will have to find a path that works for him.

P.S. I don't really like Rush, especially after he admitted to fabricating some of his numbers used on the show. But I have a soft part in my heart, for anyone who is trying to break the stranglehold of addiction.

Mag i do listen to rush... and yes a really don't like him. hate is too strong...i don't care about him that much..by the way he make lots of good points
BUT an example of his cowardice is him SNEAKING off to his other failed rehab attempts and prentending he was so righteous... never admitting to his adoring audience he had a problem...the first step to recovery by the way...not only from drugs but anything! he also tends to attack those he THInKs are weaker than him.
let's see how much he spouts off in rehab while a couple of big black dudes chase him through those big hallways like in Cukoo's Nest. I picture a couple of guys like Nate Newton and Daryl Strawberry popping him in his fat wubby ass with towels, while he wimpers and runs... he will sit in a cirle with other tweekers ( crystal meth fiends), heoin addicts and crack ho's..how tasty!
on the makeup point someone was corect in pointing out everyone wears it..but his was sooo bad and over done esp on the NFL show! Check out the eyebrows he looks like Liz Taylor... and by the way he is still fat and his skin hangs off him

Duck, how is that being a coward? What do you do for a living? Would you tell everone you work with, and tell everyone else that you deal with all the time? I dont think so. I think you would try to get help and do your best to continue working, to the best of your ability.

Homebrew, you make good points about rehabilitation. But you are leaving out one part of this situation. He has more at risk, by far than the average person. I also think that since he is very intellegent, it will help him too. Hopefully anyway.

One other thing duck, this shows in my opinion why you DO hate him. This statement is rediculous and immature...

Give me a break, you hate him!

Yes Mag,
I agree, Rush has alot more to lose, look at Dr. Laura, the radio shrink, was doing good preaching her own moral crusade, until nude pictures of her, from her college days, sunk that ship. Haven't heard anything out of her for awhile.
Rush may lose a few fans, over this drug deal, but unlike Dr. Laura, I believe he will bounce back, but missing a bit of fan base. Where I don't believe he will be taken nearly as seriously, no recovering addict is, until they have proven themselves.

Mag,

What do you think Rush would have said if a liberal celebrity-type had his same problem, engaged in the same criminal activity? Do you think Rush deserves to have the same things said about him? Or do you think piling on someone with drug problems is in principle wrong, and that Rush was wrong for doing the same kind of thing to so many others in the past?

Self-righteous public features deservedly fall hard when this stuff happens.

Homebrew, wise words on addiction. It is a brutal thing. For what it is worth, I think your ability to stay clean and be so thoughtful about it reflects a good person in you. You know that, I am sure.

Duck, bro, easy on the guy for having man-boobs! Damn! LOL!

yes the scenario i posted is immature but so is the whole forum do you think Daryl or Nate catches him first
i don't hate him really! he canbe spot on at very entertaining at times
it is the times that he starts to take himself so seriuosly and tries to tell others how to live their (and pepole actually try to believe it and do it!!)lives that makes this whole thing very tasty. Rush gets to smell some of his own sh_t
by the way i also enjoyed the Bill Cosby illigtimate child thing(Author of a book called Fatherhood) and the Jesse Jackson infidelity thing(goes to Pray w/for Clinton's dalliances)
it's comical---let he who is without sin cast the first stone all of the above have thrown a lot of rocks
How about the Dr Phil diet? or betteryet the Oprah diet from years ago..People actually buy thi stuff and they STILL buy Rush's act howevre ther is one man to follow...few really do or really can
Tobasco

John, if you got hooked on drugs by originally using them for recreation, then I have less sympathy. But I do still have some.

This is a different case though. He had an operation, which was unsuccessful. He was prescribed this medication. He was wrong to take more than he should have, to become addicted. But extreme pain will make most do whatever it takes to get relief.

Name a person that Rush jumped all over, that had the misfortune of a painful medical condition, and then addiction. I bet you cant name one. Thats just a guess though, maybe you can, lets see. I dont think Rush would pick on someone in that situation.

Hog,
that was too short of an answer and apperears "holier than thou" so i'll try (try) to clean it up...
it's an every day walk/struggle and i certainly don't always do a good job...love others, love yourself, look inward and to HIM for the answers, just TRY to do good (no doubt not i'm not always succesful at that one!) if you think only half of what you have heard about him is true...just think about that..it's overwhelming! it was all done for US
that dosen't mean loose yourself and don't have opinions..
At times Rush is not trying to do good he IS always trying to entertain but htere is a void in so many of our lives and we NEED someone to follow why not look to him? The most perfect example ...because it's scary and hard. the world work against us being able to do that (think about who reigns here) our nature is is imperfect and at times weak
thanks for responding (even though you vowed to ignore me!!) 🙂 ...i think this is what i was supposed to say to you all along
