I have been thinking about some of the great cigars that come from all these regions and I never here of any that come from Puerto Rico. Why is this, the soil condtions can't be that much different than Cuba can it? My mother is from Puerto Rico and as a little girl she remembers picking tobacco for cigars, but can't remember a company name. I have seen a few brands in searching the net, but I am wondering if anyone has even had a true PR cigar and if they even liked it. The last time I was in PR I unfortunatly was not yet into cigars now I am very curious and can wait to go back and do some searching. Any info on brands I could try would be appreciated thanx.

No I have not. But I would be interested to see what variant would be in a Puerto Rican cigar apposed to others. It looks like they have an even variety of hand made and machine made. Sampler pack may be the way to go.

one very interesting idea by BJLM1970 and i just quick checked mrmean's web suggestion. i noticed a sampler that was cheap a first glance as soon as i finish my choirs, change the linen on the bed, clean all the bird cages, and i think the last is clean the kitchen floor, i'll have to check toby's note for the day. boy, than i'll get back to the pr cigar site.

Where I live Puerto Rican cigars are common. You may know them as blunts. A little weed rolled up in a white owl. I think they use short filler though.
