My son and I on the bow of the USS Ingraham. The most deployed ship in the Navy since 9-11. Was in the Persian Gulf on 9-11 and recently returned from the Far East.

He's an STG3, as dog said, sonarman. Same rate I was on fast attack subs about 30 years ago. He never bothers to buy his ribbons but, among others, was awarded a Navy Acievment Medal for antisubmarine work on the last deployment. Yes, pop's very proud.

Ah that is why I didn't reconize the rate, I was a brown shoe. Avaition Electronics but once a sailor always a salior.

please pass to your son welcome back....I just got back from the Gulf the last summer for OIF, I'm on the USS Saipan and we were underway for 148 days straight and let me tell you, that sucked and coming home was THE best thing in the world...oh, I also had duty the 1st day too....Welcome back and enjoy homeport.
