Oil, nope...War, nope...economy, nope...jobs, not any more! I don't think anyone can call him dumb anymore either. Looks like "his" tax cuts did have the intended impact. First people and now business find out that if you give them more of their own money that they'll spend it! Kennedy,Reagan and now Bush 43. Tax cuts...it's a good thing!

I can go on and on about the war, but won't. We are still losing men over there. That area is in turmoil, and we are spending tons of money on this effort. So you cut taxes at home, make the economy a little better, but continue to spend in the middle east and create a deficit. Yes, Bush is smart that he is creating a nice safe bubble for himself so that he can get re-elcted, but who pays for the deficit and the money that is being spent now. It will be the future presidents and the our future taxpayers that take this burden. Don't get me wrong, I love that jobs are being created, but we are still digging a money hole that will be tough to get out of.

just my 2 cents.

Like Bush "created" that hole? Where was your outspoken desire to pay the debt down during 8 years of Clinton? One issue at a time.

As far as the troops go. For what we've done over there the losses are minimal. I'm not saying this to make light of any soldier's life, but they're trained to kill. There hasn't been a military operation with the success rate that this one has...EVER! Men have been fighting for a long time, and I think that war is pretty much here to stay with humanity. War isn't supposed to be pretty.

Man, some of you don't want to see the positives EVER!

I'm with you Choner. Now we are talking about sending over more of our guy's to die in a war that we have already "won".

As I type this, it looks like 6 more have died in a helicopter downing by rocket.

World War II began in fall of 1939, the US entered some 2+ years later. After this much time had elapsed, our forces were barely winning their FIRST engagements of the war and it was 3 more years until the war ended in the summer of 1945 ...

Our adversaries at the time were nation states and their borders and forces clearly defined ... our adversaries in this new war are, by and large, NOT nation states, they have no borders and their forces are elusive and quite difficult to define.

Are we SO acclimated by TV where we're accustomed to seeing all problems solved in 30-60 minutes that we naively believe this vastly more difficult challenge to be accomplished in a small window of time??? Do large #'s of people in this country REALLY believe that we can somehow 'make nice' with these terrorists and their supporters and get together for a rousing chorus of Kumbaya ???

Reality is all too painfully obvious ... no one among us WANTS war ... no one WANTS to spend the lives or resources in such a way, but the reality was forced upon us by our enemies ...

Frankly, I'm extraordinarily grateful that we had the good fortune to elect a President who, with his advisors, sees the harsh reality of the situation and is willing to do more than utter some empty rhetoric about not resting until the guilty parties are brought to justice, then taking no steps to accomplish that.

We've been Paying Billions every year for the past 12 years to keep a tight reighn on Saddam while he murdered and squandered his people!!! I made 4 tours to the Gulf region 3 in the 90's and one again in 2002... I had some nice looking paychecks for babysitting Iraq and Saddam Hussain.. all from American Taxpayers... and it was going on for the previous 12 years.. Bush and Company said Enough was Enough... given another 1-2 yrs Iraq will be stable and running on it's own and allot (Not All) of our Men and Women will be coming home...

Please give my thanks to your nephew and I thank you as well. We should never forget that we can sleep soundly in our beds at night, because rough men (and women) are ready to do violence on our behalf.

Thank you…
