Here's an email a landowner, fishing buddy and good friend sent me Monday. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

I almost called you yesterday, I was in my boat and started catching the 'BIG' blacks, I caught about 30 of them and I'd say they'd go about 2 1/2 to 3 lbs apeice, just one right after the other on anything I threw out. But then I saw a monster buck walk past the pond and down behind the dam so I ran the boat over where I parked the truck and got out my trusty bow and snuck back around the dam and peeked over and there he was, broadside right to me and he didn't even see/hear/smell me! I pulled back the arrow and let it fly and I'm lying through my teeth I didn't even go fishing and I did sit in a tree but only saw a couple of little ones and didn't shoot at anything at all. So how was your weekend??

LOL! As a former "small-towner", hunter, trapper, fisherman I can happily say........you guys are alright!

Oh ya, ask him if the "blacks" were bass or crappie. Them's some huge crappie if they were!

He was refering to crappie but we catch some nice largemouths out of that pond too!!!
