Hey everyone,

If someone was the hypothetically buy a box of Habana Montecristo #4 cigars for $200, is that price OK? Standard? Too much?

let me know what you all think

George -

Suggest you take this discussion off line - you have surely gathered enough email contacts now to ask those with whom you have had dealings rather then a "Hey Everybody" question regarding Habana product.

Try this... These are the prices in Spain for 2003. Looks like the price there is about $98.00.

stupid hypotheticals getting me in trouble 🙂

NO NEED TO REPLY ANYONE.

thanks.

I didn't know questions about Cuban products were banned, too.

Cigarick --- most of ALL the cigar forums, not just this one, talking about Cuban cigars is OK and is not a banned subject ...

... it's just when it's taken into the realm of pricing, where to get, etc., that it should be taken to private email.

After all, we are dealing with a product that is against US law ... and you are naive, if you think that 'certain govenment officials' don't monitor these forums to find out information ...

I know this for a fact, because I can't remeber if it was this these forums, or another ... a poster told us he knows people personally who do just that ...

???regarding Habana product are fine

- taste, storage, vintage vs current product, are they really "better" then domestics --- all perfectly ok questions......

When $$$$ are brought into the question or sources for import etc. - much better to seek and receive this wisdom off line.

I swear Bro. Slim and I did not collaborate on our answer to the question ---3000 miles apart - but having been around the block a few times - the old guys still know how to get it done...LOL !!

Happy Holidays Slim !!

Good answer Doc, good answer!!!

Of course the gubbermint monitors the Internet--they invented it--but like a border patrol agent reportedly said, "It's not like they're guns or drugs. They're just cigars." Every other country in the world can legally import, buy and sell them, and the wide-ranging prices are readily available online. Explain to me why it's better to be paranoid about it?

... not paranoid at all, it just pays to be cautious.

Ask Steve*R about his friend who had a shipment of over $1000 worth confiscated by customs ... 😉

I thought Al Gore invented the internet?!?! 🙂

What Slim and docrks said. Good luck to you and have a happy Habana-filled holiday!

"Why?"

"It just is."

LOL! You guys sound like my mom!
